"Hey, Mel. Can I talk to you?"
"Of course sis."
Melissa hoisted herself up onto the bookshelf where Deb was sat.
"I have a bit of a problem."
"Go ahead."
"I think I like my classmate."
"OK, well that's cool. Who are they?"
"She's called Alice."
"Awesome."
Deb smiles.
"I mean, like a crush."
Melissa nods.
"So you're a Lesbian?"
"I don't know. I like non binary people too. I read about pansexuality which sounds right. "
"That's fine. If you need anything, let me know OK?"
Deb nods and she tears up.
"You're OK with it?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
Melissa reaches over and gives her little sister a comforting hug.
