They had all laughed when Paul suggested Bowling but it proved to be quite fun. They split into two teams: Ted, Hidgens, Charlotte and Doug on one team and Emma, Melissa, Bill and Paul on the other. Emma was, of course, smashing it but Charlotte, who had never bowled in her life, was not as great. Melissa was also not very good, the only sport she can't ace. Hidgens was surprisingly talented . When asked how, he just shrugs it off and states that he takes the students out sometimes. Towards the end, Emma is leading her team to victory. Ted sighs.
"We can't win this."
"Don't count us out." Hidgens winks.
10 minutes later, Both Emma and Hidgens have got 3 strikes in a row and their gos are the last of the game.
Emma is up first. She bowls her ball with expertise to a perfect strike. Melissa and Paul celebrate behind her as she bowls yet another. Their gos are over. Hidgens is last. He bowls a ball. Perfect strike. Here is the last bowl. If he gets a strike, it will be a draw. If he misses, Emma will win. Everyone steps back, having given up and left it to the teacher and student a while ago. The ball hits the floor. It rolls... Rolls... Rolls... Impact! 9 down with one stubborn pin the far left. Emma screams, excitedly. She has led her team to victory.
"Good game." Henry says, shaking Emma's hand. She smirks and goes to taunt Bill.
"You did really good Professor."
Hidgens blushes slightly.
"Why thank you Ted."
Emma ruins the moment.
"Time for food!"
Smiling, Hidgens adds one last thing before he leaves.
"And you can call me Henry."
Ted smiles and follows the group to the dining area.
