That night is the CCRP party. It is hosted at Ted's house this year so there are many rooms to hook up in, resulting in what happens that night. Paul is just preparing to leave when Emma turns up on his doorstep, a sobbing mess. The only thing he can translate out of what she says is that Melissa broke up with her. He invites her in, warning that he is going out for a party. Emma's attitude changes and she asks Paul to take her home so she can change. Ted's house is, after all, only a street away. Unfortunately, Melissa also lives on there, hence she doesn't want to go alone. They can only hope she doesn't turn up to the party. Emma saw her sobbing as she left Beanies so she assumes she won't. After getting a slutty dress and doing her make up, Emma accompanies Paul to the party. It is already raging when they arrive. She goes straight to the alcohol, making Ted laugh but also making Hidgens worried. Bill had recieved a message that Melissa wouldn't be coming so there wasn't much chance of bumping into her. As everyone gets drunker and drunker, people start to disappear, often in pairs. By 2 am, The only two left sober also went upstairs to Ted's own room.

The next morning, Paul wakes with a twang of guilt. He's on Ted's couch sharing with a girl who is still asleep. She is completely naked so he hastily searches for a blanket. He spots one, thankfully, so pulls it over her as he gets changed. Unfortunately, before he can pull on his shirt, Bill comes out from the spare room, also shirtless. They both look at each other, heartbroken. The girl in Bill's room calls for him so he turns back, saddened. When Paul returns to her, Emma wakes. He grabs her some water. When he comes back up the stairs, he can clearly hear moaning from upstairs. Bill seems to also hear the sounds as he opens his door, now dressed. He leaves the room and closes the door behind him as Paul gives Emma the water. When Paul joins him once more, Bill is the first to speak up.
"I slept with Sylvia. I'm so sorry."
"I slept with Emma. I feel so terrible."
They both look into each other's eyes.
"We should take a break."
"Like Ross and Rachel? Just don't sleep with other girls tonight."
Paul laughs softly.
"Not a problem. She just got out of a relationship."
Bill nods. They don't even have to suggest continuing their friendship. They know they will stick together, even if it is only friendship. Bill suggests a relationship to Sylvia that morning while Paul simply takes care of Emma. About 10 minutes after the awkward meet up, all 6 people in the house begin breakfast. Ted makes pancakes as Hidgens hums happily.
