"Sweetheart, are you awake?" My mother's voice spoke.
I opened my eyes, smiling as I breathed in the sweet scent of my new room. The room was huge, with cream coloured walls, wooden flooring and a small chandelier, that hung over the bed.
"Yes, I am now." I smiled sleepily.
"Well, good. Schools starts in an hour. Cole has offered to take you with him." She smiled. I gazed into her brown eyes, drinking in her flawless features.
"Thanks." I smiled, pushing the covers off me. I shivered at the sudden coldness of the room.
"No problem, sweetie. Breakfast is ready for you, so don't take too long." She chuckled, before leaving the room.
I swung my legs off the bed, and headed into my bathroom for a quick shower. I stripped off and stepped into the shower, letting the warm water fall down my back.
After I was finished, I stepped out and wrapped myself in a fluffy white towel. I headed back into my room, finding clothes lying already set out for me on the bed.
Seeing that the door was closed, I pulled off the towel and started to change. I occasionally glanced back at the door, to make sure no one was around.
Once fully clothed, I walked over to the mirror. I pulled my hair into a pony tail, and applied some mascara.
I grabbed my rucksack from one of the boxes that held all of my possessions, which still hasn't been unpacked since they were moved here from my previous home. I just didn't feel like it.
As I tied the laces on my boots, I glanced around the bare walls, feeling the need to decorate them with posters and some of my drawings as soon as possible.
That reminds me, I still need to find my sketchbook.
I threw open the door and charged down the stairs, at the smell of pancakes. I skipped into the kitchen, catching the attention of my whole family and Cole.
I stood frozen in the doorway. "Hello." I squeaked.
"Oh hello darling, I saved you a seat." My mother smiled, pointing to the chair next to a smug looking Cole.
I nodded my head, and quietly took my seat. I placed my bag next to the leg of the table, and picked up my fork.
"Way to make an entrance." Cole whispered, nudging me with his elbow.
"Shut up." I hissed, my cheeks flushing with red.
I dug into my pancakes, sighing in embarrisment. Thankfully, everyone was too engrossed in their own conversations to notice my redened face.
"Good morning!" A femanine voice chirped.
A young woman walked through the doors, skipping over towards Derek. A perfect smile covering the rest of her beauty.
Derek shot up out of his chair, pulling out the one next to him for her to take. He smiled back at her, with a look of adoration in his eyes.
My grip on my fork tightened. "Cole, please don't tell me she is my sister or something." I whispered.
All heads snapped in my direction, making me jump back in my seat. Had I been so loud they all had heard me?
Cole chuckled next to me, resting an arm over my shoulders. Soon after, everyone else joined in with the laughter.
Ermm...
"No," Derek laughed, "Allie I would like you to meet my mate, Riley."
My eyebrows twitched in confusement. "Mate?"
