Cole dragged me endlessly through the darkened forest, to the point where I felt like there was no point in continuing to wherever we were going. There was nothing but trees and rocks that I didn't seem to notice, until I fell over them of course. The sky was darkening and the leaves shook in the breeze that was constantly whipping my hair directly in my face. Of course, Cole didn't have that problem. That lucky son of a giraffe.

"Cole, where are we going?" I whined. Who could blame me, my feet were hurting like crazy. I was even considering jumping on Cole's back at one point, but we all know how that would turn out due to my clumsy ways.

After what seemed like a lifetime, Cole turned around and crossed his arms over his chest, looking at me impatiently. Uh oh. I held back the cringe that was creeping up on my face, making me awkwardly fidget with the zipper on my jacket.

"Uh... I dunno Al, you tell me since you have something to say about everything." His tone when he emphasized the 'everything' made my body shudder. He always gets really annoyed with me when I become impatient. Well as a matter of fact, anyone that has had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting me, probably feels the same way.

I shook off my slight hint of anger towards Cole's sarcastic remark, before I said something I might regret. Instead I proudly replaced it with, yet another glare. Cole stepped back slightly, not wanting to confront me during this intimidating moment. Works every time.

"Cole, please just reply normally. Sarcasm doesn't suit you that well." I smirked. Cole leaned against a tree and drastically placed his hand on his chest, sniffling slightly.

"You know, you really offend me sometimes. I thought we were friends." Cole slid down the tree and buried himself behind his knees. Rolling my eyes, I made my way over to him and place my hand on his shoulder. "Wrong move." He chuckled.

Before I could understand what he meant, I was casually swung over Cole's shoulder. I cursed my body at that moment for being so light, I didn't even stand a chance against Cole.

Cole's laughter rung in the air, as I lazily hit his back demanding for me to be placed back down. Cole however, took no notice and continued to trod his way through the forestry. Normally, I would continue to scream at Cole but the walking from before seemed to have worn me out.

"You know, you can be very scary when you're angry, but you let yourself down when you can be so easily kidnapped. That worries me slightly." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, feeling frustrated by my lack of self-defense. Being honest though, that did worry me too. What if I was alone and someone grabbed me, I would be a goner for sure.

As we continued to walk, or be held against my will in this case, I took in my surroundings. The forest truly did take your breath away, now I know why dad always loved it here. The golden glimmer of the sunlight, pushing through the leaves. The piney, musky smells that radiate from the trees. The way the birds chirp against the other calls of wildlife.

Looking around, I noticed a funny looking plant passing by. I reached down to grab it, whilst balancing on Cole's shoulder. I inspected the fern type plant, running my fingers over it's feather-like features. I was so entranced by the plant, I hardly noticed the voices coming from a clearing in the forest, just ahead of us. As you can imagine it was hard for me to make out who the voices belonged to, being upside down didn't really make it that easy.

"Cole, my brother! Long time, no see." I heard crunching of leaves coming towards us, having the feeling that the body which owned the new voice, was making their way towards us.

I felt the strain of Cole's arm around my waist, as he reached out his other arm to shake whoever's hand. It made me curious how Cole was holding me for so long, not showing any signs of getting tired. Maybe the four months that he went to the gym, about two years ago, actually paid off. Cough, cough.
