A/N
Thank you guys for being so patient, it really helps. I'm not having a good time at the minute, but here's a oneshot for all of you fantastic people out there who read this (plus I did promise this on my message board). It's technically fluff towards the end. Enjoy c:

It was the final battle. Creatures from The End surrounded the castle, practically trapping the mage and technology enthusiast inside Blackrock Hold. They couldn't run, there was no where to go, so they took their only option and equipped themselves with weapons.
"I can't kill." Zoey whined as she held the emerald blade, that she referred to as 'Super Jim', in her hand. Rythian was already battling wondering arms that had broken through the windows.
"Zoey, you need to. Just slash, they're not human. Or, they're not anymore. Just kill them like you would kill a spider." Rythian attempted to explain calmly as more endermen broke through, one of them teleporting close enough to quickly knock Super Jim out of Zoey's hand and pin her on the ground.
"Rythian! Help me!" Zoey screamed as buzzing could be heard in the background, indicating that the beasts were moving. Rythian turned his head to see a terrifying sight; his love was lying on the floor drenched in her own blood as the endermen swarmed her. He quickly ran over to her and hit as many of them as he could with a spell.
"Zoey, are you okay?" He asked, pulling the weak girl up in his arms and beginning to fly away from his home. There was simply too many of them for two people to fight, especially when one of them didn't want to kill.
There was no response from the girl apart from slight sobbing as her hands ran down the frame of her face. The pair sat down, looking over the hills and landscape.
She turned her head towards Rythian, looking at him with tears in her eyes as she took her hands away from her face. Rythian noticed bright green scars around the bottom of her face. They seemed to have healed almost immediately, but it was almost as if they were glowing, and Zoey didn't like that one bit.
"Everyone is going to be scared of me." She shakily whispered into the warm air whilst leaning against Rythian.
"Hey Zoey, sit up and close your eyes. I have a surprise for you." The mage said, hoping to get her to feel some sort of happiness and joy again.
She did what he said to be met with a fabric covering the bottom half of her face, only showing her green eyes. The mage pulled her pony tail out of the fabric and tied the mask softly, so that it would stay on her face.
"Open your eyes." He said, and as she did, he could see one of her grins forming under her new mask. This was the first time Zoey had saw Rythian without his mask, his purple scars being a new sight to add to her memory. "See, every problem has an solution."
Her eyes darted down at the material that was hiding her secret, and that's when Rythian took his chance. He moved towards her, still facing her an put a hand just behind her head where the mask tied and pulled it, making it fall. Before she could notice, Rythian planted a kiss on her soft lips, and finally pulled away.
"But you don't need that yet, you're beautiful without it."
