Duncan's POV:
It was December 11th now. Kim was busy finishing coats for the questing rams. She told me that she had to go and find wool for it. I was fine with it.
But the question was, what was I going to do while she was gone? I drag myself from the computer area where I slept last night and returned back to the crafting benches where I continued my project.
Kim kept asking me about Christmas, and if we were actually going to celebrate it. Whenever she brought this topic up, I've always tried changing the conversation, or teaching her more things, just because I simply didn't have an answer. But now I did.
I added the finishing touches to the wiring in the lights and hung them around the outsides of Panda Lab, making it glow red and green. I then took down the torches from the walls inside and replaced them all with fairy lights, making sure it looked perfect. Making sure that all the baubles were finished, I brought in the tree which looked extremely like a Christmas Tree that I managed to find, and set it next to the couch in our bedroom, hanging each bauble on the branch, making the tree look like a blurry of blue, green, red and white circles.
Grabbing the tinsel, I wrap it around and make it look quite good. The room looked very cosy with the glow of the fairy lights. Running down to the crafting table, I grab the bracelets that I planned on putting on the wrists of our statues.
Kim's was a dark purple heart, it's design was a load of smashed glass stuck together in the shape of a heart with a light in the middle of it, attached to a light green and dark purple platted ribbon. The one on my statue was exactly the same, but mine was bright green heart attached to the same colour ribbon.
The heart stuck together for Kim shows after she was blown up by Sjin and Sips and I cared for her. And for me, it shows that she stopped the most lonely person from destroying the world. Finally, I placed the final stocking at the bottom of the staircase as I heard the door open and a small figure walked through.
"Hello." She beamed as she put her things in the corner.
"Did you get everything you were looking for?" I asked her as I walked up to her.
"Yeah, I got the final wool for the coat- Woah." She gasped in awe as she looked around. The natural coloured fairy lights let out a cozy glow and the house was very warm. Kim darted around the house, her eyes dancing between each stocking as she went up the stairs. Soon enough, she came face to face with the tree that I put up earlier.
Her mouth dropped to the floor in awe as she turned to face me. "You.. You did this? For me?" She asked, putting a little smile on her face. I did nothing but nod with a goofy smile on my face, and she tackled me with a hug.
"Thank you so much!" She squealed and laughed as we got up.
"That's not even the best part." I smirked and went to get the angel tree topper. Handing it to Kim, she walked in front of me and I placed my hands at her waist, lifing her up into the air as she was too small to reach the top.
"Got it." She said softly as I lowered her back down. She smiled as she took a seat on the couch.
"You want a hot chocolate?" I asked her. She nodded her head eagerly and soon I returned to her with two mugs of steaming hot chocolate with mini marshmallows floating at the top. Kim also seemed to have acquired a blanket as I had left, and she motioned me over.
"Here." I smiled as I handed her one mug of hot chocolate.
"Thank you." She smiled back. "Mind sharing the blanket with me?"
"Not at all." I smile and take a seat next to her, putting my arm around her as she rested her head on my shoulder. We spend hours like this, and personally I didn't want this moment to end.
"Merry Christmas, Kim." I smiled and kissed her forehead.
