A/N:
It's practically Midnight here so I'm so sorry if: anything is spelt wrong, the grammar is wrong or if it just doesn't make sense. I wrote this quite quickly as I'm quickly becoming obsessed with Gravity Falls and it seemed pretty cool to do a crossover for once instead of the completely random things that I normally write. Apart from that, enjoy.

It was a warm summer morning when the twin brother and sister (Lalna and Nano) arrived and met their Great Uncle Xephos, along with his two employees Zoeya and Honeydew. Every day seemed the same, Lalna thought that he was suffering from a serious case of Deja Vu, until his Uncle asked him to hang signs - which would direct people into the Gift Shop - on the trees in the forest situated next to the 'shack'.
He hammered the brass signs on each tree, until he hit one tree with the end of his hammer, resulting in a strange clashing noise. It sounded almost as if metal was clashing. The blonde haired tween noticed this, peeling away the metal grate which hid a lever. Without thinking of the consequences, the boy pulled it, revealing a hole in the ground where a brown and red leather journal, which had the number three on it, could be found.
The question of 'Why is there a number three on it?' stood clearly in Lalna's mind, but he pushed that away and viewed it's contents, briefly looking at a few pages which talked about every single creature that he thought existed, going from an all-seeing God to Gnomes. He finally stopped at the last page, looking at the diary entry, if you could call the short passage that.
"June 18th. I have made this book to record the strange happenings in this very area. It's been 6 years since I was able to write in this. They're after me, something big is going after soon. Prepare for the worst. Trust no one." He read out loud, but was soon interrupted by his twin sister, shooting up from behind the log she was hiding behind.
"Hey bro! What you got there?" She said with a perky tone, achieving a nervous laugh from her brother as he hid it behind his scrawny back. "Are you seriously not going to tell me?" She asked, and Lalna sighed in return.
"Fine, but lets go somewhere more... Private." The blondie responded as they made their way back to their temporary home.

"Wait what was that?" Nano questioned as she stared at the page, "an all powerful God-like creature?"
"Yeah, there's all sorts of crazy stuff in this town." He said, being stunned whilst flicking through his pages.
"What can it do?"
"Well, from what it says here, it has no weakness and can only be summoned." Lalna answered.
"Yes, but does it say anything about what it is? Or, it's abilities?"
"Well, it apparently has two forms. One being a 'dream demon', whatever that is, as well as a normal demon. Supposedly it can mess with your dreams and make you see what it wants you to see."
"Oh that's creepy..." Nano said half-heartedly.
"Yeah, it's other form is a disease. Apparently it's like some sort of taint and it takes over your entire body, practically possessing you and making you forget everything you've ever known." Lalna said, making it sound questionable.
"Does it have a name?" Nano answered; she clearly seemed to be fascinated by the subject.
"It's called... Mother?"
