~!~!~Trigger Warning~!~!~

Martyn's POV:

I came here every time we were off in the summer. School had just ended, and once again, we were going to Butlins. (For those who don't know, Butlins is this hotel with loads of activities to do there.)

I smiled as I finally packed the last of my stuff. I was 18 now, but my parents still forced me to go because it was a family thing that we had done since I was 5, so that's 13 years now.

We were going there for two weeks, and I was quite happy about that, since my best friend always went there at the same time, and we always met up.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love my friends here, but there's just... Something about this guy that always makes me feel warm inside. But, it was wrong to think of him as more of a friend.

Who is he, you might ask. Well his name's Toby. He was around 16, and he had long hair going just above his shoulders, and he was significantly smaller than me. But the thing that made him stand out was the fact that he had an obsession with putting himself out there. He never ended up getting embarrassed when he did something wrong, or nervous when he stepped out of his comfort zone.

He always manages to make me feel a lot more like myself, which is something I would be judged for back at home. After getting there, we checked into our room, and I text Toby.

To: Toby c:

We're checked in, you here yet?

Within seconds, my phone lit up.

From: Toby c:

Yeah, Room 201.

I didn't even bother texting back since I was in Room 202, so I just went and knocked on his door. The small, very tired-looking brunet opened the door, his relaxed expression turning into an excited one.

"Martyn!" He yelled, hugging me. I hugged him back, chuckling at how childish he was acting.

"Very manly." I added, earning a cute little giggle from him.

"Shut up, I missed you." He said, pulling away from the hug. "How are you?"

"I'm fine. School is tiring me out." I answered. Something was different about him. He used to try and act tough around me, and he always wore bright coloured t-shirts. The day you saw him wear a hoodie was the day the world was going to end. After thinking, I spoke up.

"Toby, are you okay?" His expression when I asked him seemed to turn sad.

"Not really." He said, staring at the floor. I walked up to him, putting an arm around him. "Careful of the arms." He whispered to himself, clicking an idea in my head. Slowly, I pulled his hoodie off and sure enough, his arms were covered top to bottom in scars.

"Toby..." I whispered, glaring at the scars.

"I'm pathetic." He broke out of my grasp and walked towards the window.

"Toby no. All I want to know is why?" I asked him, hugging him tightly.

"My friends left me, and well, girl problems." He said. I tucked him into bed. Since it was around 11pm, I thought we should be sleeping. Just as I made sure Toby was asleep, I walked towards the door, opening it slightly.

"Wait." Toby whispered. "I have a room here alone, could you stay with me?" I nodded in response, climbing in next to him, hugging him as tight as I possibly can. "Thank you so much."

He spoke. "It's alright." I responded. He turned to face me. "Love you, Martyn." He said, and with that, he slipped into a deep sleep.
