Kim sat on the edge of the cliff. She loved heights. However, the small girl was alone. Two angel wings emerged out of her back to keep her warm. Kim had the power of darkness, along with ropes that ran along the pathway that her hand allowed her to, and the ropes would choke any victim they came in contact with. That was probably the reason why Duncan kicked her out. The girl tried to erase the memories she had with Duncan out of her mind, and stood up. She turned around, only to find the long lost scientist standing there.

Duncan on the other hand, lost his sanity after he had kicked Kim out. He thought he was doing the best for his own health, but it turns out he was wrong. He thought about what he was now. Wings of electricity had grown from his shoulder. His lab coat turning a shade of electric blue, that somehow turning into a long gown that trailed down to the floor. The man had some sort of aurora around him; a one that would heal him if needed. Sets of cables and wiring twisted and turned around every nook and crack throughout his body.

Duncan approached Kim, them both taking time to study each other. They kept their conversation to a minimum, admiring the work that being away from the other had done to them. Kim smiled as she ran her hands along the work of the cables and wiring, as Duncan's heart beat started to speed up, sending small currents of electric into Kim's hand. But she didn't mind, she just giggled at the effect she had on him.

Duncan ran his hands along the Pendant of Darkness that the girl was wearing. It was sewn onto her body, permanently attached. Ropes of the deadly darkness starter to emerge, however they were red. He tilted his head in confusion at this; the colours wouldn't normally change unless she had feelings. And since she grew wings, Kim was too busy being experimented on or locked away to have feelings other than regret, hate or anger to watch them change colour.

Slowly, Duncan intertwined his fingers with Kim's, interested to see what the electricity and darkness would do if they met. The two elements met, and sure enough, they painlessly blasted upwards and smashed off of each other, sending parts of the deadly mixture everywhere, but Duncan proceeded to hug Kim, and cuddle her close. In response to this, Kim's dark ropes created a cage-like shelter around the pair, keeping them safe from any harm as her wings glowed an electric blue from the currents that were coming off of her.

Kim smiled as Duncan pulled her closer to him, cuddling her as she laid her head on his broad chest. The couple had gone through some happy and tough times, but they never expected to be standing next to a cliff, cuddling, after not seeing each other in what felt like forever. Eventually, the smaller girl fell asleep in the grasp of Duncan, and he flew back to his new base, lying her on the side of the double bed as he crawled in the other side, cuddling close to her, and kissing her goodnight.
