Games and Chocolates

"Babe, it's okay. It only happened yesterday." He handed me a chocolate. I took it, sighing as I bit into it.

"Yeah, every couple fights." Ari chipped in, also grabbing a chocolate.

"I know we did," he chuckled, handing me a napkin.

"That's the worst example," Alex groaned, glaring at Louis.

"It's true though. It'll just make you stronger," Sam said.

Basically it was a pity party in my room. Arielle, Sam, Alex, and Louis were sitting on my bed. Liam and Niall (apparently him and Sam are now a thing) sitting on the window seat.

"You guys really don't have to be here. I'm sure we'll make up."

"You could say you were sorry..." Alex remarked.

"But then I lose this house. My parents pay for it."

"Harry just got all of his mother's money, and I'm sure you guys could handle things," Niall said, his American accent slightly different from the rest.

But wouldn't that be using him for his money?

My phone rang, the number on the screen unknown, but a Georgia number.

"Hello?"

"Hello, this is the Georgia Power Company. Can we speak to Aria?"

"This is Aria. What's going on?"

"We were just confirming that the power will be shut off in your household."

"Why would the power be shut off?"

"Ma'am, the biller called, and she requested that the power be shut off today. All of her billing info has been removed from the account, so we have no one to bill the amount to."

"Um, okay. Can I call you back?"

"Of course, ma'am."

I pressed the 'end call' button, immediately calling the biller; AKA my mother.

"Hello?"

"Hi, mother."

"Oh, Aria dear! Such a pleasant surprise," she yelled into the microphone, me pulling the phone away from my ear to save myself from losing my hearing.

"Mother, is there something we needed to talk about?"

"No, dear."

"Then why is my power getting shut off?"

"Ugh, the water company still hasn't called you yet? The water should be getting shut off too by 7."

"Why?!"

"Well if you aren't going to abide by my wishes-"

"What wishes?"

"I don't want you to marry Harry."

"Mother, I'm marrying him no matter you like it or not."

"Darling, we all know you're marrying him for his money! I did the same with your father. It worked out well, but I don't trust Harry. We will reward you money when you break it off with Harry!"

"Mother, I'm engaged! Nothing you say will change that."

"Fine, then I'm not paying for the house! You have 30 days to move out."
