"Aria, babe, come in," he said, his deep, British voice almost hypnotizing me and making me want to come inside.

"No, just come out here," I replied, motioning to his front porch.

He sighed, walking onto the front porch and shutting the door behind him.

"Why, Harry? What's your incredible reasoning for doing that for me?"

"My mum."

"What about her?" He looked down, running his fingers through his hair and scratching the back of his neck.

"Ugh, way to just blame it on your mother. I'm sure she told you to cheat on me with Scarlett too." I rolled my eyes, knowing this was going to be the lamest excuse that he probably just googled to get out of this situation. I started to walk down the front steps and back to my house when Harry said something that made me stop in my tracks.

"She's dead, Aria."

"What?" I turned around, Harry's shoulders sinking even more with every passing second. Memories of her began flashing through my mind, of her humming while she made tea or her encouraging me to get back together with Harry.

She shipped us.

"She had a stroke." He said with a straight face, but as his eyes glazed over I could tell he was trying his hardest not to cry.

"Harry, I'm so sorry," I said, walking back up the steps. I gave him a light hug.He was taken aback at first, tensing as my arms wrapped around him.He gave in, though, wrapping his large arms around my small torso and burying his head between my neck and shoulder. I could hear him sniffling, and it broke my heart... until I remembered why I was here.

I broke the hug apart, looking at him.

"I'm terribly sorry about your mom Harry, you know that. But what does that have to do with us?"

"The last words she said to me were to marry you."

Harry's POV

Flashback

"Harry, love, can you get me the Advil?"

"Sure mum."

I grabbed the Advil from the medicine cabinet and handed it to her with a glass of water. She immediately took three, worrying me.

"Mum, are you alright?"

"I'm alright dear, I just have a terrible headache."

"Does anything else hurt?"

"I-I-I can't see well," it seemed hard for her to talk.

"Mum, are you sure you're alright? Can you walk?"

"I-I c-can't move t-t-this side of my b-body H-Harry. Call t-the a-ambulance," she struggled to get the words out, me grabbing my phone and pulling it out of my pocket.

I first dialed 999, but then realized that was only for London. I wracked my brain, trying to think of the number for an ambulance in America, when I realized it. 911.

"H-Harry?"

"Yes mum?" I asked, my eyes tearing up when I realized how serious this was.

"If I-I-I d-don't make i-it, marry h-her."

"Marry who, mum?"

"A-Aria."

And with that, her eyes slowly drooped as she blacked out, leaving me to rush to her side, the words she had said slowly repeating over and over again.

Marry her.

Aria.
