"We usually don't schedule appointments until you're 8 weeks pregnant, but when your mother mentioned a few things we figured we could pull a few strings," the doctor said, listening to my heart.
I chuckled, looking at him.
Harry didn't know I was here. I told him I was out shopping for a while, and he believed it. I almost felt guilty, but I'm not even positive I'm pregnant yet. It could be a miscarriage.
"Such as," he led on, "breast cancer."
My jaw dropped as memories flashed through my mind. Pictures of my grandmother in a hospital bed, the last words she said to me, everything.
Breast cancer was extremely common in my family, with my great grandmother and grandmother dying from is, as well as my mother being a survivor for 13 years.
"When is the last time you got a mammogram?"
"Never," I said, biting my nails.
"Well we suggest you do it soon, before you hit your second trimester."
"When's the next day you can do it?"
He walked over to the computer, checking his schedule.
"Today is Tuesday, we can do it on Saturday at 8 A.M. or Monday at 1 P.M."
"How long will it take to get the results back?"
"We give immediate results for a small charge."
"Alright. I'll take the Saturday appointment."
He nodded and clicked some things on the computer, before confirming my appointment. We finished the appointment and I left.
I stopped at Target on the way home, picking up a pair of flats to prove that I went shopping for Harry. I walked into the house to Harry sitting on the couch watching the news.
He smiled up at me as I walked over and sat next to him, laying my head on his shoulder as the people talked about everything that was wrong in the world.
"A ten year old girl was announced dead today, after fighting leukemia for three years. We tried to contact the family, but they wished not to speak." The news reporter said.
Harry shut the T.V. off.
"I hate things like that. Cancer, leukemia, it's all horrible. I could never imagine what that family is going through." He said.
"Yeah, it's horrible," I responded, praying silently that Harry had no idea I was getting an x-ray for cancer. He didn't need to know, it would just stress him out.

SaturdayI set an alarm for 6:30, to prepare for my appointment. It went off, not only waking me up but Harry as well. He wrapped his arm tightly around my waist trying to keep me in bed.
"Babe, turn the alarm off," he groaned.
"I have to... um"
"What are you doing?"
Ugh, think Aria, think!
"Ari and I are meeting up and going to breakfast."
"This early?"
"Yeah, she has work later so we thought we could do it now."
"Alright.. I love you," he said, letting me go. I would've responded, but I figured he was back asleep... or I just felt too guilty.

I sat in the waiting room when I heard my name called. I walked in, and the doc explained the procedure for the x-ray.
They took four pictures of my breasts, all at different angles. It pinched a little, but it was quick.

HARRY POV
I checked my watch again- 11:45. Aria hadn't called or texted, and she left a while ago. Arielle surely went to work by now, where was Aria? I tried calling her twice, but her phone went straight to voicemail.
I had to call Arielle.
"Hello?" She answered the phone.
"Hey Ari, do you-"
"Harry, I'm at work right now, can I call you back?"
"It'll be quick."
"What's up?"
"Do you know where Aria went after breakfast?"
"Aria? I have no idea," she laughed. "Why are you asking me?"
"Didn't you go to breakfast this morning?"
"Harry are you sober?" She laughed again. "I haven't seen Aria in a while." I clenched my fists.
"Alright, thanks," I hung up, slamming my phone down. Seconds later, Aria walked in with tears streaming down her face.
