Hii, guys! Yeah, okay, I'm really, really sorry I haven't updated in 5 days after pulling that, uhm, prank on y'all. I've been experiencing a kinda writer's block, but I'm fighting through it for you guys! Keep that in mind before you decide to clobber me for my inconsistent writing!..and for this chapter.. 😁😅

Now that I was finally at home - and alone - I let out a long happy sigh. I couldn't help myself from sliding down my door, in a daze. Ugh, when did my life become a rom-com? My mature thoughts were so rudely  interrupted by a loud snort.

"Oh, c'mon, Hunkyhair. Don't tell me you fell for Blondie that quick," Ro said in between loud noises that I'd learned was her version of a laugh.

My bodyguard was..interesting, for sure. Why did I need a bodyguard? Couldn't tell ya. Before Ro started whining for attention - yes, she did that sometimes - I gave her a response.

"Oh, please. Sophie and I are just friends. Nothing more, never will be. I don't have any interest in being with her anyway," I lied, selling it the best as I could. I heard a little gasp from outside my bedroom door. I expected to be faced with the cold blue eyes of my father, but instead I was faced with brown ones with golden flecked. And..what was that streaming from them? Tears?

"Foster?" I asked, confused. Why was she so upset? Then I remembered what I said. She ran away, tears still streaming from her eyes.

"Wow, Hunkyhair. You screwed up big time," Ro whistled.

Gotta love Ro, am I right? ;)
