"Everybody, I would like to introduce Gwen Oswin." Tony stepped aside so everyone could see me as John introduced me.
I guess just standing here as all those celebrities looked at me was kind of embarrassing, because I felt my cheeks warm. "Hey." I chirped speechlessly. What else was I supposed to say? A few of them smiled and seemed amused but most just sat there dumbfounded.
Of course, a few already knew me so they just sat there smiling gently, but the others not so much. It was Helen Mirren who spoke up first, "You're the girl from the elevator." She exclaimed pointing. I smiled and my cheeks grew redder.
"Yeah."
"Well I'll be." John Hurt said next. He seemed really surprised. "Congratulations."
"Thank you." I was a little confused but went with it anyhow.
I turned to John as he slapped his hands against his thighs, "I've got to run, I'll see you later." He started to walk off then called over his shoulder, "Have fun." I turned back to the famous people and stood there awkwardly.
I had to break this silence, "How about a game of something?" I sat down on a chair and clapped my hands. There was no response. I looked to Kacie pleadingly, but she just gave me her 'I can't help I'm socially inept' look.
"Let's talk about Ripped Apart." Jasper offered. Thank god!
"Good idea." I replied, the others seemed to like it so I went with the flow. "Okay so, I'm guessing most of you know the basic facts like storyline and characters." They gave me slight nods and I got the general feeling they did. My eyes rested on Benedict Cumberbatch and my heart nearly melted. He stared at me intently and was literally on the edge of his seat. "So, first of all, do any of you have any general questions?"
A few of them put their hands up like children. I went with Tommy Hiddleston first, "Are we going to be needing any accents and so forth?" if my heart hadn't melted before it had now. Tom Hiddleston just got me with his Britishness.
"No. I would like English kind of accents, nothing eccentric." It went on like this for a while until we moved into a bar area and got drinks. I suppose we'd all warmed up to each other, exciting. We had started laughing and making jokes and talking about stuff.
"So, Gwen." Chris Hemsworth looked at me mischievously. I was sat between Chris and Colin Morgan. "Have you had any relationships?" he asked.
"Getting personal are we?" I replied cheekily. Chris smiled and let out a chuckle, he took a sip of his drink.
"Just asking."
"I've had some." I replied vaguely. To be honest, I wanted to avoid the subject.
"I think that means she doesn't want to talk about it." Colin piped up. He was right.
"Hit the nail on the head." I joked. I lifted my drink to my mouth, it was just orange juice.
"That bad huh?" I nearly spat the liquid out as Tom Hiddleston added. They all laughed at my reaction.
"Come on boys, leave her alone." Scarlett Johanssen interrupted. I lifted my drink to that. She smiled at me.
I looked around at my friends and saw they were all interacting with the celebs quite casually. Jasper and Tony were fooling around with Liana Liberato, Saoirse Ronan and Orlando Bloom and Kacie was chatting quite simply with Helen Mirren and John Hurt. The rest of them just talked casually, "Hey Gwen." I looked to the voice and saw it came from Orlando.
"What do my elf eyes see?" I joked quoting Lord of the Rings.
"Not quite." Orlando laughed, "Jasper says you have a good singing voice."
