Coming back to England, what a let down. The sun was hidden behind dark clouds and rain poured down and splattered on the ground. To be honest, I was not expecting anything more. Good old England, will never let you down. “I still can’t believe they’re making us go to school today.” Jasper moaned, rubbing his face and perching on his suitcase. We were by the conveyor belt waiting for our luggage to appear, Jasper had already gotten his.
I tapped my foot as they all muttered amongst themselves. Then I spotted Kacies and my bags, “There!” I pointed.
Tom and Benedict hopped forwards and picked them up for us, “Thanks.” We said and pulled them over to where we were all waiting. “School, what an ordinary thing.”
“What makes you say that, Gwen?” Benedict asked, he was probably just making conversation.
I shrugged, “Seeing as how we’ve been doing extraordinary things over the past few weeks just makes me think how normal school is, how weird it’s going to be adjusting.”
“But seriously, they’re making us go back today.” Jasper groaned. They were all suffering a little from jet lag, even I felt a bit jet lagged.
“You should’ve gotten some sleep, besides. You’re going back and staying.” I pointed out, he gave me a fed up look.
“Don’t remind me,” he muttered, “But, it’ll be fun telling people.”
“Won’t it just.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“That’s all you really cared about wasn’t it, boasting to your selfish buddies about how you’re going to be in a movie.”
“Gwen, come on.”
“No, Jasper. You are so predictable.” I spat, he really got on my nerves. But I should’ve anticipated this, Jasper didn’t change at all. “But at least I won’t be around for long to hear it.”
“Yeah, only about a week and then you’ll be on a plane back to sunny America.” Tom changed the subject quickly, I smiled thankfully.
The rest of the bags came then and I helped Tony get his off, then we made our way to the exit. “Who’s picking us up?” I asked. Nobody had told me who was picking us all up.
“My mum,” Kacie replied. “She’s gonna pick us up and take us all in.”
“So we have to lug our suitcases around school all day?” I moaned. Kacie laughed,
“No! She’ll take them and then we can get them at the end of the day.”
“Good.”
“That would’ve been funny though, carrying a suitcase around school all day.”
I laughed, “Yeah, so are we wearing our school uniform?”
“Unfortunately yes.” Kacie replied. “My mum will have ours, Gwen. But the boys, I don’t know.”
I turned to look at the goofy guys and saw them share a knowing look, “We took ours with us.” Tony said. I raised my eyebrows, “We thought we could use them for the film.”
I shook my head, weird, but resourceful. We were led out the exit and into the main part of Heathrow, not many people were waiting at the arrivals gate. Tom and Ben stopped us and looked around, “We’ll wait until Kacies mum appears.” Benny said. Aww, that was cute, I couldn’t help but smile.
“There she is!” Kacie yelled suddenly. Her mum appeared and Kacie ran over to her, Kacie flew into her mums arms and I smiled at them. She must really love her.
