Arthur tapped his pen irritably against the table and huffed every now and again, his little chase around the school had put him in an exceedingly bad mood, he hadn’t wanted to chase his ex’s friends round the school because of a freakin tie. And yet he had had to, unfortunately, missing pretty much all of his lunch. His mind trailed from the excruciatingly boring algebra on the board to his ex, she still preyed on his mind even though she was half way across the globe, what was she doing? Who was she with? And most of all what was she thinking? Oh god did he want to know, it was pretty much all he could think about, Gwen. Her small face popped into his head and he felt guilty, she was his ex so why was he thinking this way? He needed to move on, set his sights somewhere else. But still she lingered in his mind, her small figure, blonde hair, gentle hands, small lips but always with a snappy comeback right on the tip of her tongue and ambitious eyes. Oh those eyes were ever so ambitious, he didn’t think he had ever seen someone with that much ambition in their eyes as she did. “Arthur, where is your tie?” Mr Turk asked me snapping me back to reality.
Arthur sighed heavily and glanced at Kassie, she had her hand over her mouth trying really hard to stifle a giggle, “Honestly, I feel like it’s being posted to America as we speak, sir.” he replied truthfully.
Kassie let out her giggle and Arthur smiled to himself, he honestly had no idea where his tie was, either Fran or Steve had it, one of the two. “Well,” sir smiled knowingly at the boy, “Then you’d better go and get it.”
Arthur watched Mr Turk turn his back before he stuck his tongue out, Nathan chuckled and kicked his leg, “Go on, say hi to Gwen for me.” he smirked.
Arthur glared at him annoyed and stuck his tongue out again, Nathan laughed again and he got up. He gave Mr Turk another irritated look before he went out and into the corridor, it was empty as everyone was in class. It was fifth period and the floor creaked as he walked to the door, the wind blew in his face as he stepped outside. It was cold but not so cold that you shivered and your teeth clacked. Fran and Steve were in the same maths class as Gwen so he knew where he was going, Arthur huffed before he stepped into the little area in front of the classroom, it was warm in there and he rubbed his arms before he knocked on the door. Their teacher signalled for him to enter and he did so, “Sorry for disturbing your class,” Arthur started and noticed Fran and Steve watching him, they had tiny smiles on their faces and Steve reached down to pick something up and then whispered something to Fran, “But, can I please collect my tie?” Arthur pointed to the spot where his tie should be and then rocked back on his heels waiting.
“Why on earth would it be in here?” the teacher replied, Arthur seemed a little taken aback. He wasn’t expecting that at all.
“Can I just?” Arthur pointed to Steve and she threw his tie to him, “Thank you, sir. Get back to your…” Arthur glanced at the board and sighed mentally, the troubles of the third set, “Yup.” He quickly exited the room before anyone could say anything and rushed back to his own class quite awkwardly.
He clipped his tie on and let out his held breath, he didn’t realise he had been holding it. The maths room was silent as people leant over pieces of paper scribbling down equations and figuring out numbers, I was bored of finding x or y or fuck knows what letter. Why does x need us to find it? Can’t y find x for once? Save us some trouble. Sir handed me a sheet and I glanced at it as I sat down, algebra. Fun. Whatever Steve and Fran were doing in their class seemed extremely interesting compared to this, and that’s saying something.

“Ah, geez Tony!” I screamed holding my shoulder. I gave Tony a sad face and he laughed at me, that really hurt.
“You’re supposed to be strong, Shai.” He replied mockingly, that jerk.
“Yeah, well, I haven’t had much training yet have I? Sebastian.” I replied with the same amount of mocking in my voice.
