Chapter 56

Author's POV

"I said.. Lower Your weapon kid.." Meng Yao told Wangji in a deep voice. When Meng Yao's eyes met with Wangji's he understood that he doesn't have any intention in lowering the weapon and Meng Yao can feel that Wangji is intended to use the gun against him.

"So that is your answer Yibo... I guess I should've let you die when you fell down from the light house due to bullet wound. I should've let you die in there. And Yet I saved your ass and gave you a second chance, put a roof on your head. Is this how you are intended to repay me.."

As soon as Meng Yao finished the sentence, silence engulfed the whole room. Xiao Zhan's and Haikuan's eyes shot up and they looked at Wangji.

"Yi..Yibo.." Xiao Zhan breathed out.

"What do you mean? Why are you calling him Yibo..?" Haikuan spoke.

Meng Yao startled realising what he babbled in his anger. What more shocked him was the calm behaviour of Wangji who was standing there still pointing the gun at Meng Yao.

"So you knew... You knew all along.... When..?" Meng Yao asked. Wangji kept his mouth shut without even moving an inch from his place. The strong determination on his eyes were enough of confirmation for Meng Yao that he is not joking around.

"You think you can over throw me? Never in million years.. Yibo..." Meng Yao said while raising his voice .

"How is this possible? He was my Yibo all along..Why didn't he say so? Was he pretending because of he doesn't trust me? Who i am kidding? How can he trust me after my betrayal, if he remember all of his past then he remember my betrayal also. I am sure, he hates me now.. i cant even face him in the eye.. How can I? I wanted to find him before anyone could, but still I failed.." Xiao Zhan thought while trying his best to control his tears from falling.

"Get a grip.. Zhan.. You are a damn police officer.." Xiao Zhan said to himself. Xiao Zhan got out of his monologue

"Huang Bo.. Get the men ready..." He shouted on the top of his lungs and then turned towards Wang Yibo. "You wont go alive from here kid, you are going to die along with your brother and father. The same father who abandoned you and your mother a long ago." Meng Yao spat.

Ten people carrying weapons barged inside the room and they stood beside Meng Yao. Three of them stood infront of Meng Yao after making sure that they are ot blocking the vision of their boss. Everyone was still wearing the masks. Eleven guns were pointed at Wang Yibo and for the first time Wang Yibo's face painted with a fear. Jackson went pale seeing this turn of events and still he picked himself up and then he placed himself infront of yibo ready to face the gun head out in order to protect him. Two of the Meng Yao's minions went towards Jackson and captured him and held him down.they didn't even give any time for Yibo to react.

"What a turn of events right? How about now? Are you still going to point that gun at me?" Meng Yao sneered. Wang Yibo wached the situation and he didn't have a choice but to lower his gun. Wang Yibo lowered his gun reluctantly while looking down.

Meng Yao laughed out loud enjoying his victory. "This world is so cruel kid. You have still more to learn about the reality of this world. The pain and struggle you have went through is not even near the suffering that is there in this world. The life is a fight and you have to fight for your way and even for your living. I have seen and been through a lot of hell than you can ever imagine. I have erased anyone and everyone who stood between my goal. And Yibo, you are not an exception either. I called son for the sake of keeping up the act doesn't mean that I am not gonna kill you."

Meng Yao backed off a little and twirled his gun in his hands.

"Yibo.... You may have been introduced into the gang as my son.. But you should know, except this idiot Jackson, everyone knew who you were.. They didn't beat you up, only because I asked them to. Don't even for a minute, you think that they will betray me. I knew this day would happen one day.. It is true that you kind of surprised me though. I really thought I was done for.. But you know, this dare devil is not enough to to dethrone the devil." Meng Yao took his gun out.
