Author's rant

Hai guys...I am sorry for the delay in update. I was busy with my work and didn't get much time to edit. I will try my best to publish the next one soon. Thank you for your love and patience. I am so happy for the 30k+ reads.

I also have to extend my thanks to @Irtifa456  for giving me idea about one plot. I have tried to include that in this chapter. I don't know it will meet you expectation or not.

Author's POV

It was like time stopped for a moment and everyone gathered around the interrogation room lost control over their body and they stood still. Before anyone can do anything, Song Lan's life was snatched away in front of their own eyes. When the sound of the gun shot was heard, they saw the motionless body of Song Lan whose head was hanging down with a bullet shot between his eyes. Haikuan looked towards the direction the bullet came as soon as he came out from his shock. He instructed his fellow officers.

"Everyone listen, One person is being assassinated and I am sure the person is still in the building. Lock the place down and find him. Don't let him escape. Zan Jin take your team and scout the outdoor of our office, don't let him escape." Haikuan shouted using his mike.

The whole office went whirlwind. Everyone geared up and scooped their office to find the sniper who killed Song Lan. Amidst the whole shouting, Haikuan heard another yell and he turned towards the door and saw Ji Li.

"GE.. OUR SYSTEM IS COMPROMISED... WE HAVE BEEN HACKED..."

The news was like a thunderstorm for them. They whole security of the special agents will be compromised, if their servers is being hacked. Their security system was the best of the best and Ji Li was always confident that his firewalls are unbreachable. But today, it is proved that it is not. Haikuan panicked visibly and then asked.

"What are you saying Ji Li...?"

"Ge.. Come with me.. I will show you... I..." Ji Li practically dragged Haikuan towards the computer room. As soon as he reached the room, his assistants met him near the door and said.

"Sir, We are back in control. Eventhough we were locked out for some time, now we are in. The breached portals are closed and there is no more threat..."

Ji Li was confused. "We..We are back in control..." Ji Li moved towards the computers and checked them with a panic stricken face. Haikuan was also puzzled and his head was spinning with whatever happening around him. Song Lan, the one person who can uncover the truth about Wang Yibo is dead, their security is breached and now his agents are trying their best to find the mysterious sniper who killed Song Lan.

Ji Li stood up with a sigh and said to his team. "Guys.... he is right.. we are back in control. But don't be fooled by it. Re-analyse all the system and test of vulnerabilities. Check for an data lose. If you find any that too so easily, don't be distracted by it. The one who breached into our server is not just a normal hacker and search harder and we need to reinforce all our firewalls and we need to be smarter about this. We have to find who did this. If this person is smart enough to mess with us, we need to be smarter to find him. He challenged our abilities, we need to show him, we are not just amateurs."

His team nodded in agreement and they busied themselves with the work with a new conviction to find the intruder.

"Ji Li ... What the hell is going on?" Haikuan banged his hand on the table to have the attention of Ji Li. Ji Li turned around with shocked face. It is really rare seeing Haikuan angry. He took a deep breath and said.
