Author's POV

Wangji carried a drunk Xiao Zhan in bridal style from the club to the parking lot. When he was walking to exit, he got a feeling that someone was watching him. Wangji was always careful with his surroundings. He knows that he has to stay alert everytime. According to his father's words, Always keep your ears and eyes open, you never know when the enemy will strike. He was conscious all the time, even if observant says otherwise. Feeling someone's stare on them Wangji suddenly hide himself and Xiao Zhan in the storage space near the parking lot. He covered the mouth of Xiao Zhan with his right hand and he used his left hand to envelop Xiao Zhan protectively while trapping his both hands in that hold and held him near his chest. Now Xiao Zhan's entire body is pressed against Wangji's body. With the limited light available in the parking lot, he can see the long shadow of a man, who is wearing a long cap. He continued hiding until he saw the shadow disappearing. He heaved a sigh and leaned against the wall, lifted his chin and looked upwards.

Xiao Zhan was half awake, half asleep. When Wangji kept Zhan's mouth covered with his right hand, Xiao Zhan made efforts to speak. He treid to removed Wangj's hand, using his hands, but when he tried to free his hands from his hold, he couldn't even move them a bit. Wangji's hold was just too strong and the drunk Xiao Zhan, whose body is pressed against Wangj's body, doesn't have the strength to struggle. Instinctively. Xiao Zhan's lips parted a little and he stuck his tongue out and licked the fingers of Wangji. Wangji removed his hands as if he got burned. The touch of Zhan's moist tongue on Wangji's finger was only for a second and he felt like his hands burned. He felt his heart skipping several beats and it started beating out of his chest. Wangji's eyes widened and he looked at Xiao Zhan in absolute confusion. Xiao Zhan giggled like a five year old and it was enough to warm Wangji's heart.

After sometime, Wangji took Xiao Zhan near his bike and then he mounted the bike while holding Xiao Zhan. He let Xiao Zhan sat in the front of him on the bike while facing him. He wrapped a his long scarf around them to tie them together as he half asleep Xiao Zhan wont fell down from the bike. Wangji started his bike and rode slowly towards a motel. He knew he has to take care of this person and he also knew he cant risk bringing him to his house. He don't know the real identity of Xiao Zhan, is he a friend or enemy. But he knew that his heart tells him every time he looks at the angelic man, to trust him. It was too new and weird for him. But he trusted the instincts of his heart. He did loose his memories, eventhough his father filled those voids with information, he always felt he was missing something. What? He don't know yet. The way Xiao Zhan fit into his embrace perfectly as if he always belonged there was beyond his understanding. Wangji can feel the heat readiating from Xiao Zhan and lighting his entire body and soul into fire, is also beyond explanation for him.

Anyways with a mind full of questions and confusion, he stopped in front of a motel and get down from the bike. He carried Xiao Zhan in bridal style again and then booked a room for two. The booking room and paying the rent was easy as the normal motels wont fuss around who they are what they are doing and stuff, they only consider the amount of money, they are getting. So it was easy for Wangji to do that. Wangji took Xiao Zhan to the room and he laid him down on the bed carefully. He removed his shoes and socks and then tucked him inside. While he was about to move back, he could feel a hand holding his wrist firmly and there was no any intention of letting go. Wangji's heart skipped a beat and there was a carnival of butterflies in his stomach. The skin touch was nothing sensual or something, but the hold made him comfortable, he almost felt the hold familiar.

Wangji wanted to stay in there, stay there letting that stranger hold his hand for the eternity, but he knew he couldn't. He has a mission today and he cant afford to let that pass or let anyone else do that. He cant disobey his father. It is not because he is afraid of him. He didn't want to disappoint him. The feeling of having a family was so overwhelming for him. He removed Xiao Zhan's hand from his and he immediately missed the warmth that he got from the mere touch. He shook his head and then tucked Xiao Zhan well once more while whispering.
