Author's POV

"No Dad, I don't know, if you care about your son or not... but I can't just stay and watch my little brother's life is being toyed with that son of bitch He Peng" Hai Kuan shouted.

"What little brother?" The man asked..

Hai Kuan chuckled without humour and spoke out. "You always say dad that I am the best agent you have, especially in reading people, understanding situations and finding tactics, if I am not able find the fact that Wang Yibo is my little brother and you Mr. Wang Li Chen, is his biological father, then I don't deserve your praise.."

Wang Li Chen's eyes widened and he gaped at his son. His face was pale.

"How... how did you...?" He couldn't complete his sentence.

Hai Kuan chuckled without humour and said. "Dad, seriously.. I know even from the start, that there is something more to this mission. especially, when you told me to become close to Wang Yibo. Actually , when I heard his name as Wang Yibo, I always had a doubt that is he related to you. Come on you guys are Wangs."

He moved closer to his father to face him and looked into his eyes and said. "His many features resembles you dad, except his eyes and hair color. He is almost like you with all the cold demeanour and all. It is not a rocket science, anyone who is close to you can identify this."

"I am sorry.. that.. I.. I didn't tell you earlier.." Wang Li Chen averted his gaze and hung his head low as he repenting his mistakes.

"Dad... please don't apologize, maybe I can assume, that you have your own reasons to keep in the dark. But as I know this now, don't you owe me an explanation?" Hai Kuan asked his father.

Wang Li Chen took a deep breath and said. " Yes.. I guess, it is time for you to know. I will tell you.. its kind of a long story, so might as well you sit down Kaun.."

Hai Kuan complied and sat down on the couch. Wang Li Chen took the chair near that. He shut his eyes for a minute, breathed out to calm his mind. Then he opened his eyes and stared at Li Hai Kaun.

"Kuan ah... before I marry your father Wu Cheng, I was married to a women named Bai Qin. Actually it was a arranged marriage. After I become a police officer, my parents forced me to settle down. That time, I never had a relationship, nor did I have any interest in that. I was like typical workaholic. It was kind of my goal to join the police force. So all I did was studied hard, trained hard, and obviously never had time for dating. So anyways, my parents kind of emotionally blackmailed me to get married. They were the one who chose the bride for me. We got married and I never loved her. I don't know why but I never had any romantic feelings to her, but she was my wife, who came into my life with so much expectations. Initial days of our marriage was terrible, I kind of distanced myself from her. All we did was stayed together under the same roof, that's it."

Wang Li Chen smiled a bit remembering the past and continued. " You know Bai Qin, she never complained. I was always busy with work and completely ignored her, but she always stood by myside, by taking care of me, making me food, doing the house chores and working also. She was a teacher in primary school. Whenever she needed me, I was never there. One day during one mission, I got severely injured and she took care of me. I was bed ridden for 2 months. May be that time was like a realisation stage for me, May be the only time, I took a break in my busy work life and saw my personal life. May the time I really saw her. I was feeling so guilty for ignoring her, not loving her. I really like her, but love.. I don't know. But I forced myself to love her. I thought may be, by time I will completely love her. I asked her why she stayed in my life even after I treated her poorly. You know what she replied? She told me that, she knows that I have a difficult job, and she will support me at any situation, because she love me. She knew that I didn't love her, but she was okay with it, may be she thought her love for me was enough for both of us.
