Wangji's train of thoughts got interrupted by his buzzing phone. As he looked at the call id, it showed that it was from his father.
"Oh My God.. I am dead.." Wangji thought with a horror.
He didn't receive the call but he suddenly got up from his seat and said. "Thank you Xiao Zhan for taking care of me, but i have to leave now. I should go back home." Wangji pocketed his phone and went towards the front door to wear his shoes.
Xiao Zhan's felt a pang in his chest when he heard Wangji saying he should go back home. Xiao Zhan wanted him to feel home with him. He knew it was a selfish thought, but he couldn't help but think like that. Xiao Zhan just nodded in response and went towards the front door to open it for him. Wangji went out and then he turned around and gave a smile to Xiao Zhan.
"Take care..." Xiao Zhan said.
"You too.. I will see you later..." Wangji said and left.
At the warehouse
Meng Yao was pacing angrily back and forth in his office room. Huang Bo, one of his trusted people was also standing in the corner looking anxious. Tired of pacing, Meng Yao gripped the paper weight on the table tight and finally smashed it on the ground.
"Where the hell is he? He cant be dead... Those worthless piece of shits tried to run him over yesterday..." Meng Yao said.
"Boss, our men took care of them." Huang Bo said.
"How the hell they knew he is related to us?" Meng Yao growled.
"They don't actually. It was a mere hit and run incident. But still we took care of them just to be sure.." Huang Bo said.
Suddenly Meng Yao's phone rang. He saw it was from Wangji.
"Wangji.. Are you alright? Where are you?" Meng Yao asked in a calm tone he can muster up at that time.
"I am fine father. Just got into an accident, but I am fine now. Just a few small cuts that's it. Didn't wanted to go hospital, so I kept a low profile. I am coming back now." Wangji said and disconnected the call.
"He is fine. I thought I lost my biggest weapon.." Meng Yao said with sigh and Hunag Bo resisted his urge to roll his eyes. He never understood the obsession of his Boss with Wangji.
After half an hour Wangji and Jackson came to find Meng Yao. Meng Yao was in phone with someone when they reached the office. Wangji and Jackson obediently waited for Meng Yao to finish the phone call. From whatever parts they heard while waiting they understood that he was talking about the upcoming mission to capture the Beijing docks.
