It was a mess in special agents office the last two days. It was for the first time the experienced this kind of horror. Ji Li and his team was so busy in reinforcing their server securities. Their team mostly stayed back at the office that they knew if this is not solved fast, then the existence of their all agents especially those who were in undercover missions. Zan Jin stayed back to make sure his boyfriend atleast stayed hydrated.
Haikuan and Darren were busy with investigation about the assassin who killed Song Lan. The day were so hectic that the day Song Lan killed, Wang Li Chen returned to the base and he enquired the situation himself. Wang Li Chen was calm considering the severe situation in the office. This helped Haikuan a lot to stay sane and lead his team more effectively. For Haikuan his father is like factor which grounded him. After assigning the jobs for every agents, he went near Ji Li to get an update on Xiao Zhan and he came to know that Xiao Zhan indeed disabled his location tracker and his phone is also switched off. Haikuan knew the information from Song Lan had a huge impact on Xiao Zhan. He knew Xiao Zhan lived with the regret that he killed Yibo, which he didn't deserved and the fact that the death of Yibo is already pre-planned was very much of a shocking news. Even after the sky was coloured in dark, the office was still lively with officers running around frantically finishing their duties. It was like they are preparing for an upcoming war. Haikuan was sitting in his office verifying the reports his colleagues submitted. He took his phone out and called Xiao Zhan again which this time got rejected but with a message. As soon as the message came, he went there with Yixing and saw Xiao Zhan who was sleeping on a bench and he was visibly drunk. After getting Xiao Zhan into his apartment, Yixing stayed back as Haikuan was called back to the office by his father.
The security system of their office got reinstalled perfectly with the continuous hard work of the technical team. It was already two days passed since the death of Song Lan who was a clear source of information about the gang activities that is emerging in Beijing. Now the Haikuan and his team were sitting in the conference room waiting for Wang Li Chen for the discussion about the situation. Everyone was restless, no one is happy or calm. Even the usual calm and collected Haikuan was also anxious today.
"Zhan... How are you feeling today?" Yixing asked while elbowing Xiao Zhan to get his attention. Xiao Zhan who was immersed in his thought got startled and then he turned around and looked at Yixing like a kicked puppy. After taking a deep breath he said.
"I am fine Yixing. I have to be.... Now it is not really the time to dwell on my past and my wrong choices. Cant let my guard down during this crisis."
"Yeah.. You are right.. But just so you know... We are here for you..You know we are not just team mates but your friends as well. So don't hesitate to reach out to us.." Yixing said with smile.
"Yeah..Zhan... We are all here for you..." Darren who happened to listened to the conversation of Yixing and Xiao Zhan also said.
Xiao Zhan smiled at them gratefully. "Thank you guys...." He added.
