Chapter 60

Author's POV

The night was rather silent, but Xiao Zhan couldn't find any silence in the air around him instead he cursed the silent atmosphere. Because he could hear his thundering heartbeat clear in his ear. It is as if the whole neighborhood can hear them. His hands were sweating and he rubbed his hands against his pants in an attempt to dry them.

"Oh god.. What the hell is wrong with me. Why am I so nervous? Its not like its the first time he is coming here and I am seeing him or talking to him. Why am I like this anyways? No idea... Every cell in my body is telling me to run away. If yibo is going to reject me and he finally realize I really don't worth his time... Oh my god... I cant even imagine what will happen.. and how well I will cope.." Xiao Zhan thought.

Suddenly his phone chimed. When he checked his phone, he can see that he received a message from Yibo. He released his breath he was holding till now and opened the message with a shaky hands.

"Zhan ge, I will be there within 20 minutes. Please do me a favour and switch off your overthinking brain for the time being. Don't overthink and panic. Okay...? I know you and I am sure you must be thinking ways to escape from the apartment. So please don't run away. Its gonna be alright.. trust me.."

Xiao Zhan heaved a sigh and decided to face what was coming head on. The worst case scenario is death anyways. So he decided to see and decide what to do next rather than running away. Its not like I can hide from him. If I do that he will simply find me out. He is very much talented in that. Xiao Zhan sighed and then sat down on the couch with a bottle of water so that he can do something about his dry throat. After around 20 minutes, he heard the calling bell to his apartment and he startled a bit and then he quickly arranged his hair and clothes to make him presentable. Xiao Zhan then opened the door revealing Wang Yibo who was standing by the door so handsome and with the illegal smile of his. Xiao Zhan had to gulped down just to get his nerves in check before moving aside to let Yibo inside the room.

"Hai Xiao Zhan ge...." Yibo greeted him and sat down on the couch after hanging his coat on the coat hanger which is laced near the door. The air between them felt heavier than usual. There was an awkwardness in the surroundings that felt so uncomfortable , yet neither of them didn't know how to acknowledge it or do something about it..

"Where the hell is your built up confidence yibo.. pull yourself together and talk.. don't miss this opportunity you dumbass.." Yibo cursed himself internally.

"How nice of you to finally understand that you are indeed an idiot.." a voice said in his mind.

"You again? Are you that free that you have time to mock me.. dear author.." Yibo barked.

"Oh come.. its not like I have tons of free time in my hands. But you guys are so stupid and dense that I cant help but intrude. How can I not. Its been already more than ten minutes and You didn't eve utter a useful word.. Am I good author, who want to take care the characters?" Author said.

"good author.. stop kidding me.. if you were you would've updated the the next chapter already?" yibo said.

"Oi... there is no need to state the obvious and I was buys with work.. and we are drifting from the topic. Its not me, but you we should discuss... Come on man up and tell him..."

"you don't have to tell me how to speak.. I know how to handle this..."

"Oh really... the way I am seeing it I would've thought otherwise."

"Oh shut up.. I know how to woo Zhan ge.."
