Chapter 14 - Interesting Day, Isn't It?
Autumn's P.O.V.
You know how people think that being famous is fun and easy?
Well, they thought wrong.
I was sitting on my bed, looking at the stack of magazines spread out in-front of me; scowling at all of them.
On the cover of seven magazines were pictures from the Carnival that Alex took me to on Thanksgiving. I didn't mind those but, what the captions said on the bottom bothered the hell out of me.
One of them read:
Is Autumn's boyfriend cheap, or trying to be cheesy romantic? The it-couple, Autumn Axelia and Alexander Balder, was spotted at the county fair. As we all know, Autumn is way better than this and deserves better treatment then some fair, are they heading to splits-ville already?
Another one read:
The famous couple gone poor!?!? Autumn Axelia and her boy, Alexander Balder, has been spotted at the county fair. Does the rich and famous Autumn approve of this? Or is she simply putting on an act so she doesn't hurt her boy?
The rest of the magazines basically said the same as the other magazines.
One of my guards had been walking around before checking into work when he passed by a magazine stand and saw all of these.
I was afraid of one of them though. It was a picture of me just sitting around the track for racing cars and also in that picture was one of the guys on my team. It just so happened that the paparazzi got it on a perfect timing since the both of us were smiling and looking into each other's eyes while we talked. Then the magazine split into half with another picture of Alex and some other girl that goes to our school. The both of them were laughing and sitting on a bench somewhere at a park. I knew Alex was just having fun with her and hanging out, I wasn't jealous or anything, since the fact that the girl was straight up lesbian, since Alex introduced us to each other, she was really nice and cool to hang out with during school.
I groaned and ran a hand over my face. Damn paparazzi.
I got up and out of my room and ran down the stairs. I needed to shift and run, pronto. As soon as I made it to the forest, I quickly shifted and bolted with no destination on my mind.

When I came back towards my house, feeling more relaxed and calm, I saw Alex leaning on a tree, looking quite murderous also, he was holding something in his hand. As soon as I came to a stop a couple feet by him, he shot me a look; basically wanting me to shift. I quickly shifted and put on the shirt he gave me.
Alex stood in-front of me, nostrils flaring, clenched jaw, and an anger look on his features.
I opened my mouth to say something but he cut me off with his sentence.
"What the hell is this?!" he spat, thrusting the magazine by my feet. I frowned and bent down to pick it up. I looked down at it and paled. It was the magazine that had a picture of me and the guy, along with Alex and that girl; I just so happened to leave it on my bed. Damn.
"A-Alex, it's nothing," I murmured.
"I sure hope it's nothing!" he shouted, making me flinch by the acid in his tone.
"Want to explain what the hell was going on that day?!?" he sneered. I bit down on my lip and looked anywhere but him.
"It's none of your business, Alex. You shouldn't even be judging me, you know I would never cheat on you, plus I can't even if I wanted to," I whispered.
