Several days went by where you tried to just ignore the ripping feeling in your chest. You're missing him, a lot. But your pride isn't allowing you to lose this fight and apologize to him.

Were you going back to old habits again?

Thor has already gone to Asgard before you and Loki had that fight on the roof so you couldn't even cry yourself out on his shoulder or just ask him for advice.

You hear a knock on your room,

"Come in."

The door opens and you see the silver metal glistening from the sun in the corner of your eye, knowing who's just walking into your room.

"What's up Bucky," you say with a monotone voice.

"What is with you, huh?" he asks concerned.

"Nothing, what should be?" you lie.

"Quit it and tell me what it is, Y/N," he demands, sitting next to you on your bed.

"Is it because Loki went back to Asgard?" he questions.

"No, it's because of what happened before he went," you feel your voice breaking a bit.

"What happened?"

"He asked me to go to Asgard with him."

"I don't see the problem," he says confused.

"I denied, way too fast," you explain, feeling tears pick on your eyes but swallowing them right after since you don't want to cry right now.

"And he got mad?" he tries to get the entire story out of you.

"Yeah and then I got mad and said something rather mean that kind of hurt him," you continue.

"Hurt him in which way exactly?"

"Bucky, he looked like my words just dove a dagger right through his heart," you cry out.

"Man Y/N, what did you say to him," he rubs your back comfortingly.

"The main problem is that I'm too stubborn to go and apologize to him now," you put your head into your hands.

"Well, I'd love to say something more helpful than this now but Y/N, you got to get your shit together and put your pride aside for just one second to get the dude back that is head over heels for you," he bursts out.

"He's what?"

"Maybe you haven't seen the way he looks at you but we all saw," he smiles.

"I'm more focused on staring at him myself to realize, I guess," you admit, regretting saying it a moment after.

"See, here we have it. You love him too," he says excitedly.

"Love is a big word, Bucky," you warn the soldier.

"Not when it's real," he smirks at you.

"Go get your man now," he pulls you out of your bed.

"Okay, okay, thank you, Buck," you say, hugging him tightly as he hugs you back.

After he left your room you teleport yourself onto the roof, asking for the Bifröst to open.

Floating inside of the rainbow again you feel your stomach turn upside down, praying for the uncomfortable ride to be over as fast as possible as you close your eyes.

"Hello Lady Y/N, nice to see you again," the gatekeeper says as soon as he sees you stumbling into the Bifröst.

"Goddamnit, if Loki doesn't appreciate me almost throwing up while coming here," you mutter under your breath while waving to the gatekeeper.

Walking out of the golden ball you see no horses so you just decide to teleport yourself over the bridge and into the palace.

As you appear in the hallways of the palace you feel a giant body walking right into you. Quickly turning around you see the blonde-haired god smiling down at you, picking you up into a hug and spinning you around,

"Y/N, you decided to visit! Will you get my brother out of his room again?" you hear his muffled voice speaking into your shoulder.

"He's been in his room?" you ask as the god puts you down.

"Yes, he stopped speaking to everyone and completely isolated himself," Thor explains looking rather sad.

So he feels just like you do.

"Did he tell you why?" you question.

"No, I asked but he wouldn't even let me inside of his room," he answers.

"Do you know why?" Thor asks curiously.

"Well, I kind of-" you start.

"Oh, you did that? That makes sense, I've never seen him this upset about anything after our mother died and since he values you almost just as much..." he rants.

"I mean so much to him? Damn," you mumble too quiet for the god to hear.

"What exactly are you waiting for, young lady? Go fix my brother," he says pointing to Lokis' door as you just nod and start walking towards the room.

Knocking three times after taking a deep breath, this scene reminds you of the first time you wanted to apologize to him and if this time was going to go just as well then your effort of coming here was completely unnecessary.

Hearing footsteps approaching the door you see the door crack open just for one eye to look at who was standing in the hallway outside of his room you give him a quick smile.

As he opens the door completely for you to look at him you see him as a rather depressed looking version of himself.

His hair is messy and not as shiny as normally, his face looks like it's been through some crying sessions without a lot of sleep, and his armor was completely taken off, the only things he's wearing are black pants and a beige shirt.

That's the look you've had before coming here too so you were already used to seeing people looking like that.

"What's the matter?" he asks bluntly.

"I owe you an apology for what I said on the roof," you admit.

Seeing his face switching from a rather stern expression to a progressively softening one made your heart flutter. His eyes show the vulnerability again which gave you the last push to fall into his arms, embracing him in a caring and apologizing hug. Not wanting to let him go even though he still hasn't hugged you back you cling even harder onto his neck.

Letting all the held in tears from the last couple of days out, you feel his arms slowly rise up to press you against his body. Taking in the smell of leather, mint, and sweetness you dig your head deeper into the crook of his neck.

"I missed you," you sniffle into his shoulder.

"I missed you too, darling."

Letting go of each other his hands find their way up to your face, wiping away the tears.

"No more crying," he says, drying your tears.

"Promise," you nod.

Pulling his face closer to yours by his neck you bring your lips in contact with his again. The kiss is passionate and longing, catching up on the ones you've missed the past days.

It's your safe place, where you feel you belong and so does he.

"How long are you visiting, dear?" he asks after pulling away.

"I was planning on staying."
