~Back at the compound~

You walk into the conference room where everyone's sitting and take a deep breath before opening the glass door.

"Hey losers," you greet the team.

"Are you and Loki on good terms again?" Steve asks as you just turn to Bucky,

"You told them?"

"Yeah, they asked me where you were and you know that I hate lying to them," he apologizes.

"It's alright," you say calmly to which everyone looks rather surprised.

"Do I have something in my face or why are you looking at me like that?" you question while turning to look into your reflection in the glass.

"No, you just stayed calm after something happened that you normally dislike," Natasha explains.

"Oh, do you want me to lose my temper because I totally can," you warn.

"No, no you've done some great change, I'm really proud of you, kid," Tony smiles at you.

"Thanks, but now I have to talk to you about something," you start while sitting down.

"You're not pregnant, are you?" Tony asks.

"What? No, I'm moving to Asgard with Loki and Thor," you say as calm as possible, praying for approving reactions.

"You what?"

"Hold on here."

"Oh."

"You dumbasses didn't expect that already?" Bucky questions the team's brain cells.

"Yeah, actually it was obvious that this is going to happen, guys," you defend your spontaneous decision.

"But you're an Avenger, we need you down here," Steve says a bit whiny.

"Didn't expect Cap to be the one who's the saddest," you admit.

"I think it's great that you follow your heart into another realm," Natasha smiles at you.

"Thanks, Nat," you grin back.

"But wait, who's going to explain Rick and Morty to me?" Bucky fake cries.

"I'll visit, I promise," you assure the soldier.

Now turning your face to look at Tony you see him just rubbing his chin with his hand,

"What do you think?" you ask him curiously.

"Kid, as long as you promise to visit and to help when we have a more serious mission, I'd be happy to see you happy," he approves.

"I promise to all of you, I'll always have your back even from another realm," you smile.

"So you all approve?" you ask, smiling from ear to ear as you see all of them nod.

"But I'll have to tell Loki and Thor to protect you at all cost," Steve adds.

"I'm in no doubt they will," you assure him.

You get up to go and pack some things in your bedroom. Knowing most of your clothes will be unnecessary and weird in Asgard you don't pack any besides your favorite sweaters since you need them to relax. Most of the things will be in Asgard anyways especially in the palace, they even have maids for every single thing.

You teleport yourself up onto the roof, intentionally leaving your suit behind since you're not planning on getting homesick, constantly remembering the team and Midgard in general.

Asking for the Birföst to open you prepare yourself for the overly disgusting feeling you'll have in your stomach as soon as you're in the rainbow pipe.

~one month later~

Your life in Asgard couldn't go any better, you've got a daily routine and you and Loki rarely fight.

That's actually a lie, you two fight a lot but you wouldn't want it in any other way. He is an exhausting person to be with sometimes but so are you. But now you pay more attention to what you say to him when you're mad since your mouth is extremely loose when you're upset and Lokis' past doesn't quite help.

But something like on the roof didn't happen again, you felt terrible for saying something like that to him and never want to see his face this disappointed ever again.

You two also tried to kill each other, several times. With daggers, magic, or pushing each other off the balcony. It has kind of gotten a habit when you fight but it's fine since both of you are always prepared for it to happen.

Right now, you're sitting in the library of the palace just reading one of your favorite books.

You suddenly feel lips on your neck, giving you two little pecks on the delicate skin before moving away. You see the Trickster walking from behind the giant, green and silky couch to the front, taking a seat next to you.

As he puts your legs over his own he makes himself comfortable and starts to read a book himself.

You two just sit there in complete silence. Comfortable silence.

That's the thing with you and him, you don't need words to communicate. Not because both of you can read minds but because you know. Maybe by looking into each other's eyes or by simple skin contact.

There is no explanation to it, you just know.

So sitting next to each other like that was precious quality time both of you value a lot.

"Darling, Thor told me he wants to organize a ball or how Midgardians would say 'throw a party' but more formal," the god explains.

"Lokes, I know what a ball is," you slightly laugh out.

He just nods and pats your legs a bit,

"Would you mind inviting the Avengers?" he asks.

"Hold on, you, Loki 'I don't like the Avengers' wants to invite them to your home now?" you shut your book, looking at him surprised as he just rolls his eyes.

"Indeed, but if you keep acting like this maybe we shouldn't-"

"Oh no, we definitely should," you smile at the slightly embarrassed god.

"Will you?" he asks you.

"Sure, send me through that rainbow of living hell again, no worries," you answer sarcastically.

"We could also just send them a hologram or something of that sort," he chuckles.

"Ah, yeah I'd do that," you say opening up your book as you feel his gaze resting on you.

"Oh, you mean right now?" you close your book again as you see him nod.

"Sure, sure," you get up and run out of the room.

Coming back ten seconds later stand in front of the god asking,

"Wait, when?"

"Tomorrow," he answers while continuing to read his book.

"And I thought I was spontaneous," you mumble while leaving the room again.
