(35) Home Is Where the Heart Is

home is the place

of comfort and pride

of painful cries

and hollow nights

a place of

burnt out memories

some wished to be

remembered

and some wished to be

forgotten

but regardless

of what's taken place

in ours;

we have yet to finish

building the foundation

although,

home is a place

where the heart is

so i won't forget

the house where

we've laughed and cried

where our most beloved

grew old with us, and

in our arms

she died

a house of cards

where we call out

gin!

a place where

we've been through

tough and thin

for this is our battle

that i hope we win

because love

is the unique kind of thing

you simply can't

throw in the bin

" let us forgive each other – only then will we live in peace. "
