it feels like

like that moment
when you
first look into the eyes
of someone you're about
to write a story with
share a life with
like when i made blanket forts
it feels like the coloured hair ties
that held the foundation up
kept it above my head
like you do with my life
you're the blanket in my life
that supports me
like each message and note;
holds the mass of our love
that feeling
i get staring out my window
getting lost in the depth of the universe
the stars -
i think the night sky
reminds me a little of you.
it holds a constellation of our memories
it feels
simultaneously scary as hell
but comforting
because... i know we're there for each other
and i know if i fall
when i fall –
you'll always be there
to catch me.
