A chapter that took a different turn

(This is the bad ending for this fic. But don't worry this was just an attempt for a bad ending like the games. This is an alternate ending from the previous chapter "Confirmation".)

No one's POV

"What am I suppose to tell you all then?!" Shigeo yelled trying to shrug Maki and Mizuno's grip away but they were both too strong. Katsumi the placed the tip of ger blade in front of Shigeo again which made him, Tsumi, and Tsumugi flinch "Katsumi!" Tsumugi yelled but Katsumi ignored her call. "Where are they? The other participants of V3 what are their status and how are they?!" Katsumi shoved her blade close to Shigeo neck, too close that if he moves forward it's over. "Gh-gah!" Shigeo struggled as he tried to shake his head but Maki and Mizuno stopped him. Tsumugi and Tsumi were too shock to say anything, so was Shuichi and Kyoshi while Tatiana just waited to what Katsumi was going to do next. "Answer her, or else," Maki gritted her teeth gripping his head preventing it from moving and Mizuno gripped his arms tightly.

"N-no m-more kh- huaha," Shigeo struggled to talk but it was enough for the others to understand "Y-you're too late! They're gone kh- you all w-wasted your e-ef-efforts in kh-c-coming here- gkh- they're g-gone! DEAD!" he said and had a mischievous grin on his face as Tsumi, Tsumugi, Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko heard this and were shock and furious whereas Katsumi, Tatiana, Mizuno, and Kyoshi hung their heads low, their hair covering their eyes.

"N-not s-so tough now gh- are we h-huh kh- OMA?!" He said and let out an evil laugh. A few seconds that felt like hours, silence filled the room which felt like a thousand daggers being thrown against you. The others looked at the four who were dead silent, hoping for one of them to find a lie in the man's words but their looks betrayed that hope, betrayed that thought. They came here with how only to be stabbed with despair. Tatiana was shaking, containing her tears, stopping herself from attaking, Mizuno tried not to do anything rational, same goes for Kyoshi. Violence was like an image that you saw that you wished you'd never see again but for some reason you can't help but give in to it.

"Mother, leave," Katsumi finally spoke up making the others look at her as she felt Shigeo's chest hitching trying not to let his neck near the girl's blade. "What?" Tatiana looked at her daughter who's eyes were still fixed to the floor. Taking a deep breath, she took a small glance at her mother, her hair blocking some parts of her face. "Leave mother, take Kyoshi and the others with you, Mizuno, go," Katsumi said, despite the dull tone in her voice, you could tell the she was about to breakdown. "I love you mother, Kyoshi, Mizuno, I love you all, and I'm sorry," she whispered, the sound so small and inaudible you could've sworn it sounded like a quiet person mumbling to themselves. "LEAVE! PLEASE!" Katsumi yelled and turned to her mother making them flinch, and if a heart breaking could be heard, you would hear Tatiana's heart shatter like a large vase.

"Katsumi?!" Mizuno was taken aback from her sister's time but she received nothing but a glare from her. "Don't. Make. Me. REPEAT MYSELF!" Katsumi growled at her, Kyoshi's eyes widened but his adrenaline did not let him stay, he rushed to Shuichi and the others grabbing all of them at once, embracing Tsumugi and her mother along with the trio. "Kyoshi?!" Tsumi was confused but rushed to the exit from Kyoshi's force. "We need to get out of here, quickly please!" Kyoshi said as they all rushed out of the room as he tried his best not to cry, Maki who could've stayed and help with the situation along with Shuichi couldn't process anything at the moment. Both were too shocked. Himiko was too scared to even talk.

With the others gone, the ones who remained were Tatiana, Mizuno, Katsumi, and Shigeo. Katsumi was shaking, Mizuno was looking at each of them, Tatiana stood there frozen, and Shigeo couldn't keep up with his breathing anymore. "Mizuno, take mother and go, that's my order and you will follow it, or else!" Katsumi shot Mizuno a glare, one so full of regret, embarrassment, sadness, and DESPAIR. Mizuno never thought the day would come where she would be able to see it with her own eyes, so painful, so... despair inducing.
