Chapter 14: We Need To Begin.. Now (Part 1)

Warning: Slight gore and like I said before, Maki is a bit OOC

Maki's POV
"Hnngh," I rubbed my eyes and opened the only  to see that my room's rose pink colored ceiling wasn't there nor I felt my bed beneath me. "What on Earth?" I got up and scanned the surroundings around me but in every part was only a pitch black void. "Wh-where am I?" I panicked and suddenly got up while positioning my self in a fighting stance.

"Ki!" a voice called. Panicked, I immediately looked around ready to defend myself "Please let this be a dream!" I thought and started walking around minutes passed and my walking turned into running. I'm only surrounded by a pitch black void and I have nowhere to go... Where am I?

"Ma...ki!"

There it is again where is it coming from someone wake me up please!

"Ki... Maki... MAKI!"

The voice called as I feel it getting closer leave me alone! Wake me up! (Wake me up inside! I'm sorry) Someone please... Where
am I? Where's my room? Is this a dream? If so, why can't my brain signal me to wake up?!

"Maki... Maki! MAKIROLL!"

The voice called once again but this time it's voice changed into something familiar. I looked around where it came from I could've sworn it was behind me. "Hello!" I called while bending slightly as my heart started pounding fast.

"Makiroll! I'm here!"

I looked up and saw... "Kaito," my eyes widened "What are you-" I was about to ask but stopped when I realized where I was in... This is my dream... it's not real "Makiroll how are you doing?" Kaito asked with that goofy childish... but cute smile. "I'm doing fine," I replied "Good good are I see you, Himiko, and sidekick met Kokichi's family hmm," Kaito chuckled "Fate really has different ways eh," he added.

"Kaito?" I started approaching him but he backs away "Woah now Makiroll not now," Kaito raised his hands up stopping me from walking towards him "What why?" I stood there staring at him while he grabbed his arm that seemed to have a hole in it. That... hole... "It's okay Makiroll it's not a big deal anyway I came to tell you tha-" he got interrupted by a ringing sound "Oh... sounds like your alarm clock," he looked up and back at me again.

"Time to wake up," he grinned at me "Kaito! Wait!" I called and started reaching out for him but a gust of wind came and started dragging me away. "Kaito!" I yelled "I hope your investigation will be a success!" He grinned and waved at me as the wind started taking me away. "KAITO!!" I yelled once more as his figure started to vanish.

As the wind took me away a violet smoke crashed into my eyes. I coughed and rubbed my eyes only to see someone topless, white shorts, and a purple jacket "You," I said while taking notice of that violet hair. "Makiroll~" Kokichi looked at me while his face was dripping blood from his head, his eyes tearing up blood as well, and more flowing out from his mouth, Magenta strings tied to his both his wrists and each of his fingers.

I gasped at him and look to where the strings were leading and saw... Her "Not you too!" I yelled in a panicked tone "Maki! Do you like my new toy? Hmmmm?" Tsumugi looked down at me and started moving her fingers that were also tied with strings resulting for Kokichi to move to a position she wants.

"By the way, I thank you for shooting him with that poison hehe! I gotta admit I'm also a bit childish and when I get sick of my toys I throw them away," Tsumugi smirked as her fingers started moving again making Kokichi fall on his knees. I gasped at Kokichi as more blood started to come out of his bodies and cuts starting to form on his body.

"Help... me," he called for me while crying blood. I immediately ran towards him. I never liked Kokichi but this had to stop! this is a nightmare! WAKE ME UP SOMEONE PLEASE! I opened my hand to grab him but another gust of wind came crashing to me again keeping me in place.

"Let him go!" I yelled at Tsumugi but she just smirked "Oh is that so? I thought you hated him... well doesn't really matter anyway," she launched her arms forward making Kokichi to slide towards me smiling in agony "Time to wake up!" Both him and Tsumugi said as he took out a knife while crying and swung it towards me-

"GAH!" I gasped and looked around "I- I'm back..." I shuddered while my alarm clock just stopped ringing on its own "What a dream," I said and held my hand in my hands. "We need to start now," I added and suddenly got up from my bed and took my phone from my desk not even bothering to look back and fix my bed.  I looked at the time, it was Saturday today so no work for Katsumi nor Kyoshi producing some soundtracks or helping for an upcoming movie.

"Mizuno is most likely awake right now," I looked through the contacts and clicked Mizuno's profile as I made my way to the kitchen. I prepared my apron, a frying pan, a large container of sliced up meats, a cutting board and placed the rice cooker on the one of the corners on the counter then prepared a large bottle of water from the fridge. My thumbs started typing one the keyboard, sending a message to Mizuno.

7:30 am

Maki: Mizuno!

Mizuno: Yes?

"Oh good she's awake" I thought and started typing back

7:31 am

Maki: Are Katsumi and Kyoshi awake?

Mizuno: Katsumi is still sleeping and Kyoshi just woke up. I'm currently charging right now and our mother is cooking breakfast at our kitchen.

Mizuno: Why? Is there something you want to ask either of them?

7:32 am

Maki: Actually it's for the three of you... It's something related to the investigation.

Mizuno: Four

Maki: what?

Mizuno: That'll be four now since our mother already knows about it.

Maki: Your mother knew?

Mizuno: Yeah, she even snuck into Tsumugi's room to find something that can be related to the killing game and might help us with the investigation.

Maki: And did she found any?

7:33 am

Mizuno: She surprisingly did! It was a a small pile of papers. She told us last night at the dinner table that they were kept in a box under Tsumugi's bed.

Maki: How old is your mother?

Mizuno: Wow cold! ... 40

Maki: Oh...

Mizuno: Anyway you mentioned that you had something to ask us so... What is it?

Maki: I want investigating now.

Mizuno: WOW! What a coincidence, mother suggested the same thing to us last night! And Katsumi agreed.

7:34 am

Maki: That's great! I need to tell this to Shuichi and Himiko.

Mizuno: And I'll tell this to Katsumi and Kyoshi! Syl!

Maki: U2.

And there we needed our conversation as I let out a sigh of relief and went to the sink to wash my hands "I wonder how this will go," I said to myself and went to the counter and started to cook. "I can't wait to see the look on Himiko and Shuichi's face when I tell them what me and Mizuno talked about," I mentally smiled and took out some sliced up meat from the container and started to slice the meat to make it more smaller for our food.
