Kelly's pov: it's been a few weeks since till I got something for the apartment even though I was scared at first at what she got in the end I was happy with what she decided to get because it's a basketball game that we all play. And we have been to playing basketball every day we are home. Also here in the next few weeks Stella will be taking her Lieutenant test and I been helping her each day. Right now I am teaching another class at the academy 

K= wind up laying across your shoulders so watch ( picks someone up) shoot your arms between the victim's legs you grab their wrist to locks them in place it's as simple as that all right your victims gonna be waiting for you at the top Mercer you want to lead the way
JM= sir yes sir
K= all right let's go move wiegand what do you do if you start to lose balance
W= take a knee and protect your victim
K= once you load it up start back down nice and easy freehand on the rail, slow down Mercer slow down

Right when I was yelling at Mercer to slow dow he didn't and dropped his dummy I finish teaching the class and then head into work . When I get to work I come up with a drill that my class can do when they come to visit later on. When truck 81 got back from their call Matt and Stella offer to help me so they went to find some thermal cameras for me

MC= grabbed the ones off truck and engine found two older units in storage
K= that's plenty I only need six
MC= how's the class
K= couple promising up and comers then there's Jacob Mercer Who gives it his all but scares the hell out of me to see him in the CFD uniform
MC= ( makes a cutting noise) Drop the hammer
K=  you think it's still pretty early
MC= this is new job for wannabes me and Darden went through the Academy with a guy name Mazzuca it was one flight after another with him but somehow he made the cut then in his first urine engine he drops his line pills out on his team and put One of them in the hospital we either have the fire fighting gene or you don't
K= ( to Stella) what's your take
S= my take ( shakes his head) well uh I mean girls on  fire isn't exactly The Academy but in my experience there's a lot of raw  talent out there and with encouragement and a little support you'd be surprised how some people can rise to the occasion ( Kylie walks in) case in point hey Kylie what's up
KY= uh Lieutenant severide Cheif asked if you could join him in his office ( shakes his head yes)

As I'm walking out I asked Stella or Matt to get a winch and heated up in the oven for me so it's ready for the class when they get here. I head to the Chiefs office

CB= ah severide come on in I want you to meet an old friend of mine chief Gary  Mercer
CGM= Kelly severide i've heard a lot of about you from Boden and from my son
K= Jacob
CGM= that's
CB= Mercer and I served together on engine 93 save me for more scrapes then I care to remember
CGM= more of the bar brawl  variety than anything else
CB= yeah don't you listen to him
CGM= anyways kelly I just wanted to meet the man who is shaping my sons future I appreciate you keeping an eye on
him he's a great kid he's wanted to be a fire fighter his whole life
K= He's a hard worker is always first to volunteer for a drill
CGM= well that's good to hear
K= yeah uh gonna finish setting up
CB= yeah go on get out of here
CGM= Nice to meet you Lieutenant
K= Cheif

I leave the Chiefs office and just set up the trail that I have for the recruits since will be here soon. Of course the worst one in my class has to be a firefighters kid and I couldn't tell him that he wasn't a good candidate like right there so I half lied to him which sucks. About 20 minutes later the clash is up in the cheif decide to take them on a tour of the fire house.

CB= if the bed seem uncomfortable I wouldn't worry you won't get much sleep not on shift not with all the snoring in the alarms bells going off all night
JM= I wanna fire fighter sleep with the boots on at night to save time
CB= all right then
K= you guys want anything
ALL= yes sure thanks cheif
CB= you're welcome good luck to you all listen to this man he knows what he's talking about ( walks away)
K= OK one quick drill before you go over there( points to the table in the briefing room) we have some thermal imaging camera somewhere in this fire house we hidden a pipe wrench that's been heated  up to a couple hundred degrees first one to find get  to sit out next time we hump high rise  packs up the stairs right let's go move it
