Authors note: I am so sorry this is took this long to write a chapter again. First, I had to figure out how to write a chapter then all of a sudden I had some unexpected news pop up so I've been processing it so now it's been a minute since I got the news, it's time to write some episode one shots for you guys so I hope you like it getting chapters posted very fast because I've been working on them the last couple weeks so I hope you like them

Stella's pov: it's been a couple weeks since things have started to feel a little bit normal again with Kelly and I hopefully things continue to be way better soon. Also the last couple days I've been noticing Kelly and cruz have had some tension. Specially, after the call we had yesterday right now. Everyone is at Molly's enjoying their time off.

S= why don't you take this on down to Cruz
K= isn't that your job?
S= come on he's sitting over there all by himself
K= that's his decision
S= what's going on with you too I mean things seem pretty tense last shift and now you're sitting on opposite end of the bar avoiding eye contact , so something happened
K= he'll get over it
S= you sure about that
K= you wanna run my company
S= well if it were one of my guys, I wouldn't let it boil over but if you think you got a handle on it?
K= I do
S= well if you excuse me, I have to go take care of a very loyal customer ( to cruz ) this is from severide
CZ= yeah nice try lieutenant
S= OK fine this round is on me but only if you go over there and talk about whatever this is
CZ= talk it out with severide
S= OK fine you are right we all know he's not great at saying words, but he also really great about letting things roll off his back. Did something happen on the call with the drone kid?
CZ= OK look I like to think that I don't have an ego you know when it comes to the chain of command I know where I stand, but I'm tired of feeling disrespected when he took off to go work with those ATF guys without saying where he was going, or when he was coming back, I covered for him no questions for three months I acted up leading squad taking a hit at home then he comes back and he's barking orders and telling me to fall in line like nothing changed a lot he wasn't here for it and I know he left you in the dark so you know what I'm saying, but I bet he at least apologized to you

I heard what Joe had to say. I completely understand what his point is so I walk away and start to think of waste to help these two stubborn men figure it out. I just hope they can figure it out on their own if not the next day on shift, it's still the same so I decide to say something to Kelly when we are leaving for a call

S= hey you took a lot for granted when you disappeared on us and right now I would kill to have someone like Cruz on my rig

I hope what I said to him click but who knows but after a couple days things seem to cool off between Kelly and cruz a shift later I introducing you firefighter to truck 81. Luckily we met him trying to save on a call a couple weeks ago later in shift.

K= thought ambo was bringing donuts
M= they better not get a cheese danish that will break me
DR= lieutenant. This came for you priority overnight from Tucson didn't know people still overnighted physical documents.
K= thanks

( changes to general point of view now

Kelly grabs the package from Witter and walks away to start looking it over about an hour later Stella catches up with Joe

S= hey Cruz way up how did things end with you and severide you two get back on good terms
CZ= oh, sort of he basically said " sorry not sorry" for going AWOL on squad way back then, but then he kind of
S= he kind of what
CZ= he said, if I wanted to pursue the officer track, you know head up my own unit he wouldn't stand in the way I mean he might as well have said " there is the door)
S= that would have been rough even coming from him. My guess is that he is saying it's more out of respect for you you know letting you make your own choice
CZ= sure let's go with that
