Leadership disagreement

Stella's pov: it's been a couple days since that scary engine call that we went on I know it's part of the job but it was still a little scary for me to see my fiancé almost get killed. Yesterday I took Kelly to the spot I almost lost him almost a year ago and and I talked to him how I want this to be now the spot I marry him which he agrees to and we went in set up the location and set a date, Right now it's the morning of shift and we are waking up on the floor together

S= i'm thinking we don't have to go to work anymore do anything really
K= yeah
S= yeah
S= we picked a wedding date and a place we're all set
K= we got all we need
S= yeah we do

We enjoy a few more minutes of being in the quiet before we head off to work right when we get  to work truck,  squad and ambulance get called to help  a worker that is hanging really high in the air so squad and Gallogo and do their thing By rescuing the worker , Toward the end of shift I am walking towards the bunker room when Gallo comes toward me

BG= yo  Lieutenant
S= hi
BG= thank you for letting me moonlight on the crane call with squad that was a blast
S=I just wanted to get that poor guy down whatever  it took
BG= yeah absolutely I'm gonna try out for squad I just want to get that out there because there's this whole thing of Casey while back where he heard you know through the Grapevine that I was dancing around the subject and I wanted to make sure you heard it from me first
S= well thank you for the heads up
BG= yeah
S= yeah
K= hey what's up
S= so you have been training with Gallo
K= yeah I told you about that
S= I thought that was a one time thing like you were helping him get caught up so he could join a class midstream
K= yeah and then we kept it up here and there
S= I thought you were teaching at the Academy
K= I am but I also do sessions of Gallo when I have the time I'm not hiding anything from you Stella
S= Kelly truck is not the farm team for squad I can't have you poaching my clue especially when I just got everybody working together as a team
K= Poaching is a strong word the fact is Gallo and I started having this conversation way back when Casey was running 81 and then it got serious when Pelham was his lieutenant
S= okay well I am in charge of truck now and I'm telling you to back off

At that point I was pissed off so I just left him, like why is it when I get my team together after finally becoming Lieutenant when all the sudden one of them wants to go somewhere else. Right now we're at Molly's after shift and I hand Kelly his beer.

K= thank you
H= hey
S= hey
H= is everything Okay over there
S= he uh he has been trying to lure  gallo over to squad... yeah so I had to tell him to back off
H= good for you cause those squad Lieutenants
S= you know he knows how important my team is to me making sure it all gels, The everyone fun fills a  certain role Gallo's my linchpin you know  and if he thought he was going to get away with it because I'm madly in love with him he now knows otherwise
H= yeah

I walk away from Herman and Gallo sits by Kelly

BG= hey Lieutenant
K= Gallo
BG= so the crane rescue was awesome
K= sure was
BG= I mean the second you know the second I went over the edge I knew it's its time, train with you, Classes I'm taking him ready for squad it's time most sure I've ever been about anything in my entire life
K= that's good but remember it's a hi bar you gotta clear you know there's no shame in getting as much experience on truck as you can before taking a leaf
BG= you don't have to worry about me you said it yourself on that call I passed your test with flying colors I wanna be on squad will you help me get there
K= we'll see
BG= thank you Lieutenant

I hope Kelly can understand why I was mad at him. I finished my shift at Mollys then me and Kelly head home and go straight to bed

Kelly's pov:  it's been a couple days since the FAA thought I took the missing piece to the engine but I got it back and make sure a highschooler didn't get in trouble for it so that he can go off to college in the next few months. Also a couple days ago Stella took me to the place where she almost lost me in that boat accident that happened almost a year ago. And she tells me that this is where she wants to get married and it is a perfect place so we go and pick a date and everything is great until the other day on Jeff when she learns that gala all the sudden wanted to join squad she didn't like that and told me to back off, but honestly I have no clue if we can even add another squad member so the next day on shift I go to the chief office and wait on him so can answer my question

K= Morning chief sorry I didn't mean to ambush you
CB= what can I do for you
K= I just had a quick question that I think I already know the answer to but there's no way we can expand  squads roster and add another firefighter bite I mean even an harness is squeezing an extra nickel out of the budget these days
CB= well it's funny that you should bring that up because there's been more than a few conversations down at HQ about exactly that
K= really
CB= yeah if you really think you need an extra body I'm more than happy to throw my support behind the idea I bet we could push that though
K= let me think about it then I'll get back to you thank you chief
