I can finally breathe again

Stella's pov: the last week has been not too bad without Kelly Especially since we do talk on the phone when we can but also text every day last night Violet decided to throw Brett bachelorette party. It was so fun for sure but then again now we have shift and we are a little hung over form it

V= oh, there's not enough coffee in the world to cure my hangover
S= it took two extra cold showers just to get me to neutral this morning
SB= best bachelorette party ever and you totally surprise me I admit it
V= well I'm the perv who came up with the pole dancing idea but the whiskey shot blackjack was Stella's idea
S= having second thoughts about that one. How are you energized this morning?
SB= hydrated at home. I had a zoom interview with the Portland FD before shift and I wanted to make sure I put my best foot forward.
V= yeah, they be crazy not to hire you
SB= well I hope I hear back soon. Matt and I need a bigger house for the kids so it would be nice to have a job lined up
S= ( checks phone ) Oh wow, you were being responsible last night. I apparently drunk texted Kelly included some pics that might be a a little NSFW
S/V= oh
S= yeah, I mean he texted back right away unlike the last ATF trip so the key is send dirty pics
V= oh, I almost texted Car last night. Thank God I didn't do that I'm trying to avoid the whole situation when does. Servride get back
S= he is supposed to be home in two days so we will see
SB= he'll be here, Stella
S= yeah totally

We go and get some coffee until a call comes in. We get one pretty fast about a couple hours later at the firehouse. We are in the kitchen when all of a sudden we hear noise coming from the apparatus floor with Herman.

S= oh, I do not like this at all
H= that's it
HC= where did you get that dump?
H= don't worry about it

Herman starts moving things around to fit his new chair that he found. Of course nobody likes it about a few hours later we get called to Lakeshore to help with a mental patient that has gone crazy and caused a couple people to get injured now back to the fire house.

S= damn
SC= you get hurt when that guy plowed into you
S= I twisted my ankle in that housefire a few shifts ago I think I tweaked it again it's no big deal
M= well something is definitely up. Let me take a look at it go over here.
H= hey
M= she's injured we will just a few minutes I'm going to go grab some ice
H= okay fine
S= it feels good to take a load off
H= I can imagine
S= I just haven't had a second to relax lately. Have my mind on so many things like Kelly's coming back I'm so excited to see him and then I'll get this flash of but what if he suddenly goes MIA like last time and I know that I know that is crazy so I should just let my head start spinning in circles.
M= here, Lieutenant
S= thanks Mouch the ankle is fine. I feel a lot better actually but man I could sit here all day.
H= I'm glad you like it

I sit in the chair for a few more minutes to get my ankle to feel a little better. Then I get up and head to my office to start the paperwork for the call. Luckily the west shift we didn't have much to any calls so after shift I head home and then head to Molly's for my shift. I catch up with Violet and Ritter Molly is closed for the night I head home and go to sleep the next day. I call Kelly and we talk and then when I'm getting ready to say goodbye, he mentions the next time we talk will be in person which is so exciting now it's the day of shift and when Kelly will be coming back. I'm in my office pacing back-and-forth looking at my phone because Kelly is supposed to be getting on his flight right now even though he said it was delayed so I'm just worried he's not gonna show.

CZ= hey lieutenant
S= hi
CZ= um I thought serveride was supposed to be here this morning but I haven't seen him
S= yeah I know I just got a text from saying that his flight got delayed and he was asking if you would cover for him until he gets back
CZ= yeah, of course
S= thanks Cruz
