Helping a fellow firefighter out part 2

Stella's POV: it's been a couple weeks since I happened back to work after the girls and fire stuff that I traveled around to different cities for. It has been great being back doing the job I love and with the people I love, ever since I came back me and Kelly were in a little rough patch because of how I never really called him back whenever he called me when I was away, but after we had our big talk the other day we are back to being our happy self. A couple days ago while all of 51 Was on a call someone else from engine 37 got hurt and then blamed it on Lieutenant pelham at first I wasn't believing that it wasn't his fault but after a while I start to see that this girl was definitely putting it on him. Yesterday I learned since the investigation into the car is still ongoing that poem can't be acting Lieutenant so bored and wanted me to be the acting Lieutenant until other wise. Today is shift day and it's day I get to be acting Lieutenant and me and Kelly are getting ready in the locker room

S= Feel strange stepping in and is active Lieutenant for shift especially considering what happened with Pelham
K= poem situation isn't on you and if the position does become permanent maybe it's fate
S= I do feel more nervous than I thought
K= hey no reason for nerves
S= well there is um some key element from you that always helps
K= I think we'd get in trouble if we did that here
S= yes yes um there is that but there is also that one magical phase that you say in the magical Kelly way

That is exactly what I needed to hear when going into my first official day as a acting lieutenant, within 15 minutes squad truck and ambulance get a call to a local mall so now it's my time to shine as a lieutenant

BG= Where is first in Lieutenant the scene your

So I start telling everyone that orders in within 10 minutes everyone is safe and out of harms way, I help Kelly up from the floor

S= hope I wasn't too pushy
K= no it's fun taking orders from you

We clean up the scene and head back to the firehouse

M= that was some smooth operating out there Lieutenant
S= that was a great team effort
BG= but you took command like a natural
S= thanks guys ( walks to where Pelham is) hey any updates on your status
LP= nah no change hey I heard the guys coming in it sounds like you kicked ass out there
S= thanks Pelham hey and just so you know I'm not gunning for your spot it's rightfully yours
LP= I don't know about that even when I was interim here I heard the way everyone at 51 talked about you respected you it was intimidating Knowing how much they wanted you back here so you could take over on truck look forget what led to the spot opening up again you have already more than earned the right to fill it
S= ( shakes hands) thanks

I feel bad that Pelham is in this predicament I wish it would go away but in the way I also love being in charge it feels nice to have this power. About 30 minutes later Boden comes back to the firehouse so me and Kelly follow him in his office to get an update

CB= her position could not have been more final Jason pelham is a lost cause as far as she's concerned
S= look I don't know Sarah McBride that well but I could certainly go back and try to talk some sense into her
K= yeah but deputy commissioner wouldn't go up against Kilborne what are the chances you can events McBride to turn on him
CB= Kilborne wields too much influences within the CFD
S= maybe we need someone who isn't in the CFD anymore someone who's got nothing to lose officer Pelham deck what's his name
CB= what Captain Stafford
S= Yes didn't you say that he was upset about her pelhams clear got stalled somaybe he'd like A chance to make amends

I think that is the best option to help him get out of the situation , after a few seconds Boden agreed that was the best plan so he decides to call him to see what's going on but of course he doesn't pick up so it's a voicemail. Later on in the shift mini higher ups when do we show up to do some random check-ins and looking at the firehouse which was weird when they were done they were walking out as I was cleaning the truck
