What confused me the most is that he didn't say anything. He didn't even look at me, he simply stepped over me like I didn't exist and exited the room. I hear the terrifying echoes of more shots being fired and screams vibrating the walls. What was going on? What happened in this guy's head to make him want to do this?
Was I a target, or simply just in the way?
Why was he just sitting and waiting on the bed like that? Was he waiting for me? Or Zayn? Or even Carter? I thought he and Carter were friends so there is no way he would want to hurt him.
But the lack of emotion that was on his face once he had taken a bullet to my side, was the most frightening aspect of the whole thing.
I traced my eyes down to where my hands had reflexed over the top of the entry wound. My hand covered in a dark crimson red from the uncontrolled flowing of blood from the space between my shoulder and collarbone. I was on the floor; a place my body automatically retreated to after the impact.
I flickered my eyes between my wound and the door. I obviously need medical attention, fast; but what if stepping out there decides my fate for me anyway.
I don't know where Isaac is now; I don't know if he has actually killed anyone. From the repetitive sounds coming from his shot gun, and how quickly he struck me down. He didn't have any mercy at the moment. He wasn't willing to let anyone go.
I feel my blood running cold, which I gathered was never a good sign.
I crawled myself over to my trunk full of clothes and pull out a shirt to try and add pressure to the wound. I had the slightest idea about first aid, so I was just going off shit I saw in the movies.
I need to get myself out of here; I need to not just lay down and end it all here. The echoing of the shots gives me a decent idea as to where Isaac is around the school. It's given me enough of a gap to get myself out.
As I stumbled into the hallways. I'm met with bodies from all directions, running in fear and pushing each other out the way. I rebound of a few, stumbling into walls and bodies as I make my way down the main hall.
"Louis!" I hear my name being called from the direction I had just came from.
I can feel the clamminess on my forehead, but I also felt so cold, I didn't understand the contrast.
I stagger myself around to see who was calling me, my vision slowly becoming hazy and I was feeling more faint.
Just as my sight was nearly completely engulfed in darkness, I feel a large figure crashing into my body, holding it firmly.
My legs fall weak and I'm losing all strength to hold myself up or awake.
I was so tired. I never knew this level of fatigue; it was a new one. It was like not only was my eyes and body tired. The blood I could feel pulsating around my veins was tired, the vibrations my heart left through my chest felt tired.
It was like everything wanted to shut off.
As my eyes took their final blink before dozing off; I'm interrupted by someone shaking my body.
"Louis! You need to look at me!" I peel my eyes slightly open; only just enough to see who the large figure was that was currently cradling me in their arms.
Harry.
"Hi" I whimper out letting a smirk come across my face.
"You're going to be okay, just hang in there!" He orders as he hoists my body off the floor and up in his arms. I feel that we are moving quite swiftly through the world. No idea where we actually were, but I was moving fast. It almost felt like flying.
"Harry?" I choke up the breath to call his name.
He looks down at me, currently held up in his arms like a small baby.
"I forgive you" I mumble.
Through constant blinks trying to gain some sort of focus in my eyesight I can see the trails of tears left upon his cheeks.
I feel the warmth of his lips being pressed up against my forehead, the very gesture causing my eyes to feather shut.
The moment they close my name is being screamed again in a more frantic tone.
I open the urgently, not recognising any of my surroundings anymore. Surely, I only blinked. How did I teleport to somewhere different?
I was now in the backseat of a car, Harry in the driver's seat. Was I not just in his arms a second ago?
"Louis! You need to stay awake for me!" He continues to scream these orders at me from front of the car.
I heard him; but he didn't understand how tired I was. All I wanted to do was close my eyes for just a few minutes.
"Louis!" He screams again.
"Do you forgive me Harry?" I groan through a wave of painful moans.
"What?" He shouts; looking back at me over his shoulder a few times.
"Forgive me?" I repeat in shorter form as it was becoming near impossible to complete sentences.
"Of course, I forgive you Louis!" He screams out, reaching his hand back and tangling our fingers together.
"That's good" I breath through a small smirk.
Knowing that Harry forgave me seemed to be a kryptonite to my body right now. The minute he admitted to forgiving me, everything in me relaxed and allowed me to fall into that sleep I had been craving.
The repetitive screaming of my name from Harry's lips begun to drown out into a dull whisper the heavier I fell into my slumber.
