Lift off

Over the span of two days Bow, Entrapta and Hordak managed to come up with a rather Rudimentary plan of escape. "plan is to construct two hot air balloons, each basket will hold three people. I figured that traveling separately will save on fuel and resources plus a lighter basket means faster travel if the wind currents are on our side we should be back in bright moon in less than two days... hopefully." Bow explained the plan as simply as possible before dividing up the chores to gather the materials needed. "Glimmer and I will work on gathering the fabric materials to form the balloons and basket" Bow said while placing his hand on Glimmers shoulder. "Hordak and I will construct the main mechanism to produce the heat needed for liftoff. Oooh this is going to be an exciting challenge!" The purple haired girl squealed before taking her lab partners hand and dragging him off towards the pile of scrap metals. "That leaves Catra and I to go hunting for food, water and vines" Catra glanced up at Adora feeling a bit uneasy about going into the glowing forest after what happened last time. "Let's go team!" Glimmer cheers clearly eager to get back to Bright Moon.

It had been nearly three hours since Catra and Adora left camp to gather supplies for the journey home. Already they had gathered the necessary amount of vines needed and placed them on their makeshift cart like before. Gathering the vines was rather amusing in truth, Adora had climbed up the tree and thought it would be a good idea to hang on the vines she was cutting down, Needless to say that ended in a tangled up mess. Luckily Catra was able to climb up and use her claws to free Adora. "I think you should leave the climbing to me" Catra laughed as she jumped down landing ontop of The blonde who had fallen on her rear. Adora rolled her eyes pushing Catra off of her playfully.
After detangling from the vines, they got to work gathering anything that was edible. Thankfully Entrapta had made a list of plants she found were safe to eat or that caused the least amount of illness.
"You know, I'm almost glad to see Hordak again.. he was useful in figuring out what was safe to eat. Makes a good lab rat for your lab money" Catra jokes as they pulled the wagon along. So far they had enough food for one days trip. "But he still makes my fur stand on end..." Catras eyes went to the trail ahead, while Adora gave a curious glance to her partner. "I understand what you mean. It's crazy to think that he's actually helping us after what he did to us as cadets" Adora stopped the wagon and walked towards a bush with berries on it. The two picked the bush clean of all its berries. "I over heard Bow talking to glimmer... you and I are gonna be in separate balloons..." Catra spoke not looking at the blonde beside her. "You'll get to stay with your little best friends squad, while I'm on the bastard balloon with a former tyrant and a trader. So much for trust". Adora stopped what she was doing and looked over at the feline. Catras ears were down slightly. She was hurting. "I'm sure they didn't mean it like that Catra..." Adora went to touch catras shoulder, but catra shrugged her off and stepped away. "It's just until we get to Bright moon." Adora sighed and continued to gather food.

Eventually Adora and Catra returned to camp with the wagon loaded with sacks of food and vines. They even picked luminous flowers to mark the baskets with incase they got lost in the dark of night. Upon seeing that they had returned Glimmer stood waving her hand in the air "Adora! Catra! Come help me with these stitches. The balloons are almost done" the young queen called. "I'm gonna go see how Entrapta's doing. " Bow said before standing up. He figured the scientist could use an extra skilled hand like his since he was a tech master himself.

"Catra can you use your claws to poke holes along this line. Adora and I will weave the thread through it'll go much faster than using this sharp rock I found" Glimmer explained tossing the rock behind her. Catra looked down at her claws for a moment "might as well make myself useful" she growled and got to work making sure the holes weren't too far apart.
Glimmer raised a brow and leaned towards Adora "is she ok? Does she not want to break a claw or something?" She asked. Adora looked at Catra who was busy poking the necessary holes needed. "No. She just over heard you and Bow talking about how we're gonna travel in groups. She just thinks the groups are a bit... odd" Adora rubbed her neck. "The groups aren't odd. There's six of us. Three to a Basket. We have our group and they have theirs" Glimmer knelt down and began weaving the threads through the holes. "Theirs? So you did separate us because of what happened?" Adora looked slightly disappointed, she thought they had moved past the good and bad sides. "Well... when we get to bright moons boarder then she can join us while Entrapta and Hordak leave. They're still banished.. even if they are helping to save us...". "And what about when we get to Bright Moon? I need to know that Catra will be safe. There's still people who hold a grudge against her.." Adora bit her lip at the thought of an angry mob coming for Catra. "Catra will have to stand trial like the rest of them... but don't worry. She did good in the end by helping us." Glimmer tried to assure her friend but in all honesty she didn't know what would happen to Catra. That was sort of the reason they put Catra in the basket with Entrapta and Hordak. If a mob did come for her then Glimmer would send all three away in one shot. But then this all would've been for nothing.
