Sneaking up on others and attempting to make fun of them was a dangerous job if you got caught. Sneaking into your neighbour's house while she was sleeping, was another thing altogether. It could get you killed, especially if that person was a Crazy bird old lady.

The old bird who lived next door had zero tolerance for children and animals. She hated everyone in the building and everyone hated her for her sharp tongue and rude behaviour. She was horrible to AJ and Mac and Mac could kill for those she loved. On top of all that, she was arrogant as she thought she was so perfect and criticized everyone. Hence the attempt to play a prank on her. 'Her' was none other than Miss Susan I am a miserable bitch Johnson.

Mac chose to climb over the balconies which were half a foot length, away from each other. She then tied the paint filled balloons on the hook just above the door. Quickly climbing over the balcony again, she and Jenny locked the door, switched off the lights, left through the front door and raced down the stairs.

Going out of the building, they raced to the tree in the little garden that was on the rear side of the two apartments. Climbing up, the two girls divided their weapons between them. When they were sitting on a stable branch, they prepared for an invasion. Jenny whipped out her cell phone and blocking her number, she dialled Miss Johnson's number. Miss Johnson had a landline and had to get out of bed to answer. "What?" growled the crazy bird. "Hello!" No answer from the girls offcourse.

They could see the crazy bird getting angry, and Jenny cut the call. She then called again just as Crazy bird walked away. This time when Crazy bird answered, Jenny, in a manly voice, told her to go out into the balcony. Jenny said that she lived in the building across the road and had seen strange activity on her balcony. She told her that there had been a spate of robberies in the area so one had to be so careful these days. The old lady questioned why she had to go out if it wasn't safe and Jenny replied that, she, the old lady, was right, that, she shouldn't go out as it could be dangerous, especially, since her neighbor wasn't home. When asked how 'he' knew this, he replied that he had seen her neighbor leave the building earlier.

The old lady, who was only in her late fifties, put the phone aside and walked out into the balcony. Due to her arrogance, she believed that nobody would mess with her. Immediately, Mac who had the pellet gun ready, aimed and fired. She was really great with the pellet gun and never missed. Paying no attention to anything other than finding out who dared to enter her property and making them pay for this invasion of her privacy, the old lady was oblivious to the fact that she was wearing the contents of the balloons.

When she realized, she screamed in anger. In the meanwhile, Jenny had recorded the whole thing. The two girls were struggling not to laugh. Laughing could result in them getting caught. It was tough however they managed to control themselves. Imagine how Crazy bird looked in that moment. Paint and toilet paper stuck on her head. Paint dripping down her hair and shoulders. She was a sight. Not only in looks but her facial expressions totally cracked them. Once again, she screamed and swore at her assailants. Threatening to call the authorities, she went back inside. Jenny had recorded everything on her phone. The girls took the opportunity to get down from the tree. Both had to bite their lips to keep from howling with laughter. They couldn't go back home yet, so they took a walk into the town to get their favorite, homemade, icecream. Since they knew that Crazy bird was definitely calling the police, they weren't in a hurry to go back.

Some may think that the girls were horrible to do that to an older person but someone had to do something about Mrs Johnson. Last week, she had called the police and the landlord about Megan, a single mom with an eight month old baby. The baby was teething and cried all hours of the night and day. The police refused to do anything once they got there. The landlord however, buckled down to his longest reigning tenant, and gave Megan notice, to vacate the building. Megan's boyfriend had dumped her and disappeared when he heard she was pregnant and her family had disowned her. The girls were trying to help her to find a place to live as she did not have a job and no means of income. Mac and Jenny paid her rent and Mac shared food with her even though she barely had enough for herself and AJ. Mac knew what it was like to lose everybody and everything you cared about.

When the two girls eventually went back to the apartment, they found the harrassed looking, police officers questioning Megan who was holding a screaming baby and Miss Johnson, standing there shouting at everyone. Jenny took the baby from Megan and he immediately quietened. The baby, whose name was Bryan, loved Jenny and would quietly lie in her arms and stare at her. Mac pushed Megan behind her and folding her arms together in from of her chest, she rose one eyebrow and glared at the male officer in front of her.

"What are you doing? Are there no real criminals to chase? Why are you harassing this poor, traumatized girl and her baby? she asked the now angry looking officer. He tried to speak and she didn't let him. " I'm not done. Last week, you and your friend were scared of satan's wife over there, she pointed at Miss Johnson. You did nothing to stop her, and the landlord from evicting an unemployed mother and her child into the streets. Now you're intimidating the same person, who has nothing else to lose. What is it now, huh? This old bat aged another ten years because the baby cried? You know that, that, is impossible right. An evil person shows their true worth in their looks. So that means, that our lovely Miss Johnson over there is going to look like the carcass of a smelly, rotting deer who was killed and eaten by a lion on a rampage."

"Look Miss, we don't want to fight with you again. Please! We will leave now. Miss Johnson, this is no revenge plot. It is the work of crazy kids! We will investigate and keep in touch. Good evening," came the response from the usually silent officer who always just stared at Mac but never spoke. As he turned to leave, he looked at Mac, winked at her, leaving her shocked, then walked away with a big smile on his face.

"Oh my, someone has a crush on a certain someone! All this time, I thought he was mute, "observed the excited Jenny who inwardly chewed her lip in worry. She had hope that her brother would find his way back to Mac. In fact, she knew that deep inside, Alexei loved Mac. Even he knew that but he just had to admit it to himself. "Stubborn fools! Both of them."
