Kane's POV
When I came to it was already early morning the next day. I was still in the same clothes as yesterday. Looking around to check where I was, Osamu laid on a futon asleep beside me. All I could assume was he found me and took me back to his place that I insisted Mori give him. It is way better than the storage unit I found out Mori had Osamu sleeping in. I grabbed my phone that sat on the nightstand to check the time. It was about time for us to get ready and head to work. I pulled myself out of the bed and went to wake Osamu."Osamu," I said slightly shaking him but he didn't move. "Osamu," I repeated with more force but still nothing. "Osamu!" yelling which seemed to wake him.
"Ugh, what time is it? Who's waking me?" he asked still not moving. I grabbed his foot opened the door and dragged him out of his room.
"It is time to get ready and I am the one who woke you dumbass."When I started dragging him and leaned his head up looking at me. I pulled him to his feet so he could start getting ready. He began to go take a shower, but notices I just sat down at the dining table.
"Are you going to get ready?"
"I have no clothes to change into. There would be no point in me taking a shower."
"I have a change of clothes you left here not too long ago, but it's just some jean shorts, one of your tank tops, and undergarments. I can let you borrow one of my button-ups if you'd like."
"So that's where my clothes went. I honestly stopped caring where they went, but I'm glad you have them. That will work perfectly. Thank you."
"Then you go take a shower and I'll grab the clothes for you."
Osamu went into his room to grab the clothes while I got a towel and took a shower. When I finished the clothes were on the bathroom counter so I changed and wore my black legging to cover my legs. I also reattached my knife holster to my thigh and put my dagger in. After that waited for Osamu to clean up and get dressed. Before we left he handed me the button-up he mentioned and a spare black trench coat. I quickly put on the button-up but it was too big for me to tuck into my shorts so I left it completely unbuttoned and threw on the trench coat as we left.
"Mind telling me why you ran off and just remember we agreed to tell each other everything."
"You know better than anyone that though I don't show my pain and emotions, I still suffer. I am too empathetic and that's my downfall. I have too much humanity to counter this cunning, emotionless, and dark side of me. So to answer your question. It was all just too much for me to handle, emotionally at least."
Osamu sighed silently after that not pushing any further. As we walked he put his arm around me as a sign of comfort, which honestly helped but it didn't make me forget what he said last night.

"Odasaku," Osamu called as we walked to where he was watching the flames subside with the firefighter's help. The fire just so happened to be the murder of those kids Odasaku rescued in the conflict two years ago. "I know what you thinking right now, but you can't do it."
"Even if you did decide to go through with it-" I began stepping to Oda slightly
"It wouldn't bring the kids back" Oda finished "That's what you were gonna say right?"
"They still rival us in terms of sheer numbers. And then their location makes things-"Osamu tried to say but was cut off as well.
"You don't have to tell me I already know. They sent me an invitation." Oda said
"Listen to me. The boss is in a meeting with the Gifted Operations Division. I'm not sure what it was about, but I have a feeling they're more going on here." Osamu continued
