John runs away from the crowd as we all watch still in shock. "Hey are you ok?" Bucky asks softly as he grabs me from behind to lift me up. "I'm fine." I tell him surely before wincing once he brings his hand up to my head.
"You sure?" He asks revealing blood on his fingers, "I'm sure. We should probably go after Walker." I say making him nod.
"We'll go, you should stay here and heal yourself." He says making me scoff. "I'm fine, lets go." I say following after Sam who has already started walking.
"Rose." Bucky sighs catching up to me, "Bucky." I mimic making him smile slightly. "Look I'm fine, I know my capabilities so don't worry so much." He smiles as he takes my hand. "I'll always worry about you."
We get to the abandoned building where we find walker hunched over the shield on his knees.
"Walker..." Sam gets his attention once he stands. "You guys should see a medic, you don't look so good."
"Stop, Walker."
" What? You saw what happened. You know what I had to do. I killed him because I had to! He killed Lemar!"
"He didn't kill Lemar, John." I say as Bucky sighs from beside me. "Don't go down that road. Believe me, it doesn't end well."
"I'm not like you."
"Listen, it was the heat of the battle. Okay? If you explain what happened, they may consider your record. We don't want anyone else to get hurt. John... You gotta give me the shield, man."
"Oh," John murmurs looking up, "so that's what this is. You almost got me."
"You made a mistake."
"You don't wanna do this."
" Yeah, we do."
We begin fighting him for the shield which he so desperately wants to keep and I groan as he knocks me down. I stay down for a moment trying to keep my head from spinning as I watch the other two men engage him.
I get back up once he throws Bucky across the room and manage to conjure some ice to make him slip. Once he hits the ground I go to grab the shield only he grabs me by the ankle and pulls me down too. I try to kick him away but he manages to get on top of me.
I try a few punches for the head but he blocks them and reaches out to grab the shield on the ground beside us. My eyes widen as he holds it up and I quickly raise my arms in front of myself feeling relieved once the shield makes contact but inflicts no harm due to the fact I had turned blue. He tries again confused as to why he was having no effect.
I use his confusion to my advantage and manage to strike a blow to his head which pushes him off of me. He groans as he gathers himself and I breathe heavily as the blue fades and I'm back to normal.
John stands quickly and is about to try and strike me with the shield once more but I see him coming and quickly roll to the side standing as fast as I could. He tries to punch me but I dodge his fist only to be whacked in the head by the shield again. This time it knocks me out.
