"But...he was your everything." I look down at the faded photo, a small smile appearing as I take in his handsome smiling face, god how I used to love that face. "He was my everything." I repeat in a smaller tone allowing my finger to run over the s...

Bucky and I arrive at the memorial to find Zemo stood there just like we knew he would be. "I thought you'd be here sooner." He says without turning.
"Don't worry. I've decided I'm not going to kill you." He adds, "Imagine my relief." Bucky says before he clicks the gun that was in his hand. "The girl has been radicalized beyond salvation. I warned Sam, but he didn't listen to me. He's as stubborn as Steve Rogers before him. And Rosalie is too soft, she would help everyone if she could." I don't know why he was saying that like it was a bad thing.
"But you... They literally programmed you to kill. James, do what needs to be done. Karli has people everywhere, and there's only one way to make sure she cannot continue her mission."
"I appreciate the advice. But we're gonna do it our own way." Bucky replies making Zemo chuckle softly, "Yeah. I was afraid you would say that."
Bucky then raises the gun to Zemos head making the later man look slightly uneasy. He glances at me but I look away. Until Bucky presses the trigger making the gun click due to it being empty. Bucky then turns his hand to the side and lets all the bullets that he'd been holding clatter as they drop to the ground.
"Ladies..." Zemo says as the Dora Milaje join us and cuff him.
"I took the liberty of crossing off my name in your book. I hold no grudges for what you thought you had to do." Zemo says to Bucky as he begins to be lead away. "Goodbye, James, Rosalie."
"We will take him to the Raft... Where he will live out his days. It would be prudent to make yourself scarce in Wakanda for the time being, White Wolf."
"Fair enough." Bucky shrugs before we watch them walk away. "Hey! I may have another favor to ask of you."

After getting our favour from the Wakandans we make our way to Sam and Sarah's to give it to Sam.
"How do we get it off the truck?" We hear a man Sam was talking to say as we approach, Bucky then grabs it and unloads it from the truck making me watch him eyes wide and impressed.
"Oh!" A man exclaims in surprise. "You're welcome.Just dropping this off. You can sign for it and I'll go." Bucky says as he places the case on the truck for Sam to see. "I called in a favor from the Wakandans."
Suddenly a pipe on the boat begins to hiss, "Sam!" Sarah yells catching his attention. "Hi." Bucky smiles at Sarah, "hi."
"Hold on, hold on. You gotta go up." Bucky says joining Sam and making the hissing stop. "Hey Rosie." Sarah grins at me, "about last time, I'm sorry-" she shakes her head at me, "don't be ridiculous, I'm just glad that you're ok."

Bucky and I ended up staying to help out with the boat. "Give me the instruction manual and I can fix the engine." Sam looks at me doubtfully, "I can." I persist.
"Sam I literally helped build weapons during the war, I can fix a boat engine." He still looks unsure and even glances at Bucky who nods to confirm what I'm saying.
"You built weapons during the war?"
"Sam why are you acting so shocked? You told me you learnt about this during high school history."
"I didn't commit everything about you to memory when I was in high school."
"Well you should've."
"You know that cool bike Steve used to have during the war? The one in the Smithsonian? I fitted the weapons into it." His mouth drops, "you're lying."
"Sam! Have a little faith." He glances back at Bucky who nods again, "she's telling the truth Sam. I was with her in the lab when she was finishing it up."
"Ok ok but a motorcycle and a boat are very different there are no weapons here."
"She can do it." Bucky says confidently, "Sam I've fixed boats before."
"When have you ever fixed a boat?"
"Well Howard had boats and when they broke we'd fix them together." I shrug, "also in my years of hiding I fixed plenty of things, cars, boats, bikes you name it."
"So you and Starks dad fixed boats together?"
"Yes."
"That's a strange couples activity."
"It was fun." I shrug, "I even worked at Stark industries when I was with him. I have plenty of building and mechanical experience." I say trailing off slightly noticing how Bucky got uncomfortable with all the Howard talk.
"You and Starks dad is still so strange to me." Sam adds making me shrug, "why?"
"You could've been Tony's mom." I don't know if it's just me who feels the atmosphere grow slightly awkward at that. I had thought of that before though, especially when I had first met Tony all those years ago.
"Which is crazy because you look so young." He adds
"Yeah I look good for a girl who's one hundred and five." I joke making Sam chuckle.
"So are you gonna give me the manual or not?"

"So where did you first learn how to do this?" Sam asks as he stands and helps me with the engine, "my older brother, he taught me a lot of things growing up." I start off smiling slightly as I think of my brother Dean.
"He and my father never really got along and so even though my dad was rich Dean never relied on his money. He always saved up to get whatever it was that he wanted and so he bought a run down car, and instead of ask for my fathers help, he taught himself how to fix it whenever it broke down. Which was a lot because it was a heap of junk. And then eventually he taught me how to fix cars up and then other things."
"Fixing things with my older brother was probably one of the best things in my life at that time. My father had quite a nasty temper and so whenever he'd lose it with us, Dean would take me away and he'd distract me by getting me to help him fix up things."
"Dean always believed that I was destined for great things, he never wanted anything to limit me. So he taught me practically everything. He taught me how to fight and how to shoot a gun, my father had a heart attack when he found us." I say laughing as I remember the look on his face to see young thirteen year old me shooting in the garden with my older brothers gun.
"It was actually him who got me my job in the SSR and him who I owe everything to."
"Well I'm sure he'd be proud of you now." Sam say sing making me grin, he would be because Dean was always proud of me, no matter what I did.

Sam eventually left me alone no longer doubting my capabilities, "Sam I told you, I can do this you don't have to keep- oh." It was Bucky not Sam who'd joined me.
"Hi." I smile softly making him smile back.
"I'm not being a distraction am I?" He asks which makes me grin, "you're always a distraction." I reply which makes him smirk as he comes closer.
"What?" I ask with a confused smile as he just stands in front of me, taking my face in with his own cute smile on his face. "You have a bit..." he says before just wiping whatever it was I had managed to get on my face.
He keeps his hand on my cheek a moment as he looks down at me. I watch as he looks as though there's something he wants to say but is unable to. It looks like he's having an internal struggle with himself until he eventually sighs.
"I'm sorry." My brows furrow, "why are you sorry?"
"I didn't bla-" he cuts himself off an sighs again. "I'm sorry and I love you." He says before kissing my head and leaving to go back to Sam, leaving me very confused.
