FIFTY FIVE

"If it's all the same to you... I'll have that drink now." 2012 Loki says making me frown as I watch him from where I was hidden. "All right, get him on his feet. We can all stand around posing up a storm later. By the way, feel free to clean up." Past Tony says as I try and catch past Rosalie's attention.

"Uh, Mr. Rogers. I almost forgot that that suit." He pauses as we watch Steve walk around in his suit. "did nothing for your ass." It takes everything in me to stop myself from laughing, "No one asked you to look, Tony." Steve says all uptight. "It's ridiculous" I have to try even harder not to laugh, "so you were shouting at me outside for not 'focusing' but this is happening?" I ask. "I think you look great, Cap. As far as I'm concerned, that's America's ass." I can't help it a small giggle escapes, past Rosalie's head snaps up her eyes widening as they lock on me. She looks to Loki thinking it's a trick to see he's distracted, she turns back to me and I hold my finger to my lips before I mouth bathroom.

I manage to sneak out just as I watch myself smile at Loki as he grins at me before imitating Steve, "I mean, honestly! How do you think you'll be..." he says transforming back into himself, Stopping because Thor slaps a device on Loki's mouth to make him quiet, "Shut up." Older me looks at Loki with a grin, "suits you." She hums making him wink at her, before she excuses herself to meet me in the bathroom.

"What is happening?" 2012 Rosie asks, "I'm you from the future surprise I know but, you can't tell anyone." I tell her making her eyebrows furrow, "why are you telling me?" She asks and I scoff, "because you're me and I trust you, or me, whatever. Anyways there's another Tony and Steve here too, we need the staff and the tesseract." Her eyebrows furrow again. "How do I know this isn't a trick?" I sigh gosh she could have little faith in herself. "You used to smuggle Bucky and Steve toast every morning whilst the three of you would walk to school, you had a crush on Bucky from the first moment you saw him, you still wear the engagement ring he gave you around your neck and cry yourself to sleep thinking of him." Her eyes widen, "jeez alright I believe you." Finally, "took your time, now Steve is going to get the staff I'm going to join him but I need to stall here for a second so, you wait here and I'll be back in a minute for the two of us to switch back." I tell her rather quickly. She manages to keep up and nods.

"Hey guys can I um have a minute alone with Loki?" I ask the team all of whom plus Loki raise their brows at me, Thor and Steve in confusion whereas Tony and Nat in a suggestive way. "Yeah." Nat says immediately winking at me, "let's go guys." She says ushering them away. "It's very important." I assure them as Steve looks reluctant, even though Loki's mouth is covered I see him smirk. "I kinda need him to be able to speak." I say making Thor nod and take the muzzle off him.

"So what do you need?" He asks with a smile as the team leave us be, "time." I shrug he looks confused before I wrap my arms around him, "your brother loves you, more than you know." I tell him watching his face falter in confusion, "you don't know what you-" I shake my head, "I do." I tell him. "Just be you." I tell him a bit teary eyed as he watches me in an unreadable way. I wipe my eyes as I hear the others approaching, I grab Loki by the shoulders and knee him in the stomach, "and that's for kidnapping me." I say rather loudly whilst also leaning down to quickly whisper a sorry in his ear accompanied by a quick kiss on the cheek that no one could see.

"Oh that's not what I thought you wanted him for." Past Tony says as Loki stands up straight and smirks at me amusement in his eyes, "brother-" Thor slaps the muzzle right back on his face to stop whatever he was saying. "Sorry about that." I shrug as Thor sends me a small smile, "it's alright he deserved it."

"Oh shoot I left my phone in the bathroom." I say after a long moment before making my way back to where past me was waiting. "Well?" She questions in anticipation, "thanks for the help, I knew I could count on you."

"Wait can I ask you questions about the future?" She asks me hopefully making me grin, "oh I wish but I really don't have the time." I say making her nod in disappointment, "ugh I wish we did." She says, damn what did she wanna know? "Ok one question." I say hoping my teammates wouldn't kill me for this, I wasn't even supposed to do this but they said nothing we did here would change our lives back in the present or future or whatever so what was the harm.

"Do we ever get over Bucky?" Oh shit that was a hard question, do I tell her the truth? "No we don't but he's alive, he's the winter soldier you don't have to go looking for him because you'll meet him again soon enough, but fair warning he won't remember you, not at first." I tell her hurriedly before taking her phone and throwing it into the toilet. "What the hell?" She questions. "You've been taking an awful long time for someone who just needed to grab their phone from the toilet, now go cause we really don't have the time for this." I say handing the soaking device back to her watching as she gags slightly at touching it.

When I finally get to Steve I see him opposite himself, I stand back for a second deciding to let them hash it out, I'd just observe and then take the staff whilst Steve had Steve preoccupied. Both Rogers' frisbee their shield's at one another which clang away as they brawl, inadvertently kicking away the case containing the scepter which falls down a few levels. I run down to get it as 2012 Steve gets the upper hand on Future Steve's as they both fall down to the same level as the sceptre and me. Future Steve's locket of Peggy falls out, 2012 Steve notices it. "Where did you get this?" He asks whilst also holding my Steve in a chokehold. "Bucky is alive." He manages to rasp out confusing past Steve into loosening his chokehold giving future Steve the chance to sucker punch his counterpart, as I sceptre him down. "That is America's ass." Steve says after a second I look at him wondering if he had noticed me stood here. "Is it?" I question making him jump.

"Jesus Rosie." I shake my head with a small smile, "no shame Steve I checked myself out too now let's go." I urge.
