Kith sat on a vacant seat in front that Anna and Lily reserved for him. Erin specifically instructed them to get him a seat in the first row.
After watching the first three contestants, she was called on stage. When she came out, she immediately received a loud applause from the audience inside the theatre hall.
She walked to the center and held the microphone. She could not see the whole place because all the lights around the stage were on full beam, but right in front of her, just below the stage, she could clearly see Kith smiling at her.
"At first, I joined this contest because I wanted to win the prize... but a few days ago, I changed my purpose... I'm here now, because I want to take this opportunity to tell everyone... that I'm undoubtedly... wholeheartedly... crazy in love with Kith Nolan... Say whatever you want... You can't break us apart." After her short speech, she looked at him again and smiled. He was shaken up as usual, but she could no longer take seeing people trying to destroy him. That time, she bravely told them that she was serious about making him part of her life no matter who he was in their eyes.
Like the others, Kith was surprised. He had no idea she would announce her feelings for him again in front of a bigger crowd. The pressure he felt overwhelmed him, but he still stretched his lips and smiled back at her.
After she got his approval, she started to sing, and she did it only for him. When she finished the whole song, she received a standing ovation, yet she was not sure if it was for her performance, or because they were moved by her second public confession, but she no longer paid much attention to it anymore. At that moment, her mind was with someone else.
When the noise ceased, she walked off stage and approached Kith to his seat. She stood in front of him and reached out her hand. "Come on"
He was staring at her. He was still in a state of shock. Lily quickly nudged him. When he returned to his senses, he stretched his arm and held Erin's hand.
She pulled him up. "Let's get outta here." she said, then she held his hand tighter and dragged him out of the hall.
"How about the contest?" he asked as they were walking in the hallway.
"I only offer my voice to people. I don't need any prize." she answered, then she winced. "Ugh... My shoes are killing me. Let's go to the vacant room. I want to rest my feet." she told him.
"Okay" he agreed.
When they got to the room, she quickly removed her heels.
Kith became tense as he was watching her. "Um... About what you said earlier..." He paused.
She looked at him. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable in your seat because of it."
"No, not that... That was actually... very flattering... I wish I also have the courage to do the same for you." he told her.
