In Erin's apartment, she heard her phone ringing while she was taking a shower. Since she was in the middle of her bath, she was unable to answer it.

When she's done, she went to her study table and grabbed her phone. She saw it was Anna who called her. She tapped the screen and called her back. She answered right away.

Erin: "Hey, I was in the shower when you called. What is it?"

Anna: "I just remembered something. You said those guys who attacked your friend were wearing masks and caps, right? Well, I saw Ethan with two of his friends the day it happened. They were wearing baseball caps and Ethan was toying something... I think it was a black face mask. I'm not accusing your cousin, but it feels strange it's all connecting. Not to mention, I saw them not far from where it happened. (suspicious)

Erin: .....

Anna: "Hey Erin, are you still there?"

Erin: "Yes... thanks, Anna. I have to hang up now." (restraining)

After she ended the call, she sat on the chair heavily. She could feel her blood boiling because of so much anger. It was the first time she felt that kind of hatred for as long as she could remember. "Oh God, help me control myself." she mumbled.

The next day at school, Erin waited for Ethan outside their classroom. When she saw him coming, her anger went back to her, but she kept her control and maintained her posture.

"What is it?" he asked.

She looked straight at his face. He felt edgy seeing her staring.

"You did that to him, didn't you?" she asked. Her voice was calm, but silently screaming.

He acted strained after he heard her accusation. "I told you, I didn't." he retorted.

Erin hoped he would admit it and apologize, but after she heard his lies again, her remaining trust in him completely died out. "This is the last time I will talk to you. If you hurt any of my friends again, I swear to God, I will not forgive you anymore." she told him, looking at him with her eyes full of bitterness.

He felt a tight squeeze in his chest after he heard that from her. She didn't wait for him to respond. She left.

As he was watching her leaving, he felt both pissed and broken. "Fuck!"
