After walking for more than half an hour, she started to feel dizzy. Then, her stomach suddenly squeezed inward. She quickly ran to an empty spot and puked. After three forceful expulsions, she held on the wall and breathed heavily. As she was staring at the ground, she sobbed again.

“Where are you?” she mumbled breathlessly.

When she stood up straight, she saw a group of fishermen heading to the port. She followed them with her eyes as they walked through the concrete platform. Then, she noticed someone standing in front of a fishing boat untying a line around a dock cleat. She could not see his face, but the shape of his body was very familiar to her. Although she was not sure, she began to walk not taking her eyes off him.

When he jumped into the boat, that was when she finally saw his face. Even though he was far, she knew it was him. At that moment, she forgot all the pain in her body. She ran fast and called his name.

“Kith! Kith!” she yelled at the top of her lungs.

When she reached the fence separating the road and the port, she did not think twice and hopped over it, but when she landed, her left leg bent down because of the pain in her injury. She stumbled on the ground and hurt his left hand, but she ignored it. She quickly got back to her feet and ran again.

“Kith!” she called.

When she saw the boat was leaving, she panicked.

“Kith! Kith!” she called, crying.

Kith was putting the rope back to the hook when he heard a distant voice calling his name. He raised his head and looked where it was coming from. At the shore, he saw someone running to the platform. He narrowed his eyes and looked closely.

“Erin?” he mumbled.

Without leaving a word, he hopped off the boat and ran to her.

“Hey, boy! Where're you going?” one of the fishermen yelled, but he did not stop.

When Erin saw him coming towards her, she ran faster, but when she reached the platform, her left foot finally gave up. She lost her balance and fell on the concrete, but she still forced her legs to get up and hop as she was enduring a lot of pain in her body.

When Kith saw her limping and crying, he increased his speed. He still could not believe she was there, but seeing her in that state, his concern for her dominated him more.

She felt a very strong longing for him seeing him getting closer to her. When they finally reached each other, she held tightly around his body and buried her face between his shoulder and neck. There, she cried her heart out. She cried like a little child trembling and gasping for air.

He held her back and the back of her head. He had a lot of questions in mind, but to comfort her was the first thing his body did instinctively.

“I’m sorry… I’m sorry, Kith.” she cried, still sobbing bitterly. Then, she coughed several times.
