The next day, the storm finally stopped, but since the road was still flooded, they still had to stay and wait for it to subside.
Before their breakfast, Kith checked Erin's temperature. When he saw her fever had gone down, he was relieved. Her cough wasn't too bad either.
"How do you feel now?" he asked her.
"Getting better" she answered.
He smiled.
She smiled too. "Thanks to my sweet doctor."
He chuckled. "You've been an obedient patient."
She giggled, then she clung around his waist. "Can I kiss you now?"
He smiled again, then he bent down and kissed her.
"I'm so bored... Can we go fishing in the flood?" Lily asked in a spiritless voice.
"Good idea, but expect to catch leeches and frogs, not fish." Anna replied sarcastically.
While they were laughing, someone knocked on the door.
Kith opened it.
"Hey, um, Mr. Feodor needs help again. A drift log is blocking the drainage." A girl who's also a guest informed them.
"Okay, we'll help." Kith answered.
"Thanks, the others are already outside." she told him.
"Right, we'll be there." he replied, nodding.
They left their room and went downstairs. There, they joined their fellow guests on the balcony. They saw on the side of the muddy road the log stuck over the drainage.
After they planned how they would remove it, eight of the men walked into the flood. One of them was carrying a chainsaw. Two brought axes, and the others were ropes and other tools they could use.
The girls stayed on the balcony and watched.
"I like watching when men work together like that." one girl said.
"Yeah, they look more handsome and hotter when they form a small group." another girl agreed.
They giggled.
Erin smiled as she watched Kith swung the axe to chop into the wood with his both arms. She agreed with what she heard from the girls. Her eyes were focused only on him and how manly he was at that time.
