Early in the morning, Kith looked at himself in the mirror inside the bathroom. His neck, shoulders, and chest were filled with hickeys and bite marks as if he had been beaten. He did not know if he would laugh or feel sorry for himself.
"Yup, only one girl did this to me." he mumbled, chuckling. Then, he looked at Erin who was still sleeping in the bed. He smiled recalling how he lost strength and became defenseless because of her last night.

At school, everyone was surprised and wondering why Erin and Kith suddenly became close again after they didn't talk and went missing for days.
Sophia confronted them. "Okay, speak up. It's time for you to explain what the heck is going with the two of you. We're all confused." she told them, then she crossed her arms.
All of their classmates in the room were looking at them.
Erin looked down and felt a little embarrassed. "Um... Well... It's actually my f..." She was cut off while talking when Kith interrupted her.
"We were just messing with you. Sorry. I think we've gone too far." he told them in an apologetic tone.
Erin looked at him. Their classmates showed different reactions.
Sophia dropped her jaw. "You mean that was only a prank?"
"I don't believe it." Adrian commented, crossing his arms.
"Yeah, me too... Come on, guys. Don't lie. If you had a fight, that's okay. That really happens to couples. We just want to be clear so we don't have to think of something else." Sophia told them.
Kith looked at Erin. He could see that she was tense and embarrassed. He looked back at their friends and sighed. "Okay... Yes, something happened to us. We had a misunderstanding, but we both chose to talk about it and fix the problem. We're okay now." he told them.
Adrian got up from the table and faced his classmates. "They're okay now! You can take care of your own problems now. Thank you!" he announced, then he looked back at Kith and smirked at him.
They chuckled.
When everyone had taken their seats, Erin looked at Kith. There was still shame on her face. "Sorry if you had to lie to them to cover me up." she told him in an embarrassed tone.
"They don't need to know everything about us, and I don't blame you for what happened. We're both victims." he replied.
She clung to his arm and nodded.
