The next day, even though Erin was very tense and jittery, she still did her best to be herself with Kith during their morning classes.

Still, no one bothered to ask them about what was going on between them. Erin favored it. She did not want to hear anything from anyone about it until she gets an answer.

Like her, Kith was also very uncomfortable the whole time. He could not avoid acting stiff and sometimes awkward with her.

Waiting for lunch break felt like a yearlong for Erin. When the time finally arrived, she quickly left her seat without leaving a word and headed to the vacant room.

She didn't have to wait long. Kith showed up at the door just a few minutes after she got to the room. Her nervousness continued to grow inside of her as she was watching him slowly walking towards her, but she still maintained her posture. When he stood in front of her, she did not say anything. She just looked fixedly at him and waited.

"I... I want to clarify something about what you said to me yesterday... This is a very dumb question, but I have to make sure... Did you say that as a friend... or as a girl?" he asked, trying to relax his shaking knees.

"As a girl" she answered in a firm, but nervous tone.

He stared at her for a moment. "Erin... more than anyone else here, you know me... You know what kind of treatment I get from other people. You know what problem I have in myself that I can't fix. (let out a deep breath) You won't be happy with me." he said heavily.

It took her a moment trying to understand what she heard from him. "Are you... rejecting me?" she asked in a sad voice.

He felt guilty and ashamed as he was looking at her disappointed face, but he still insisted to himself that it was not right to let her be with someone like him. "I'm not good for you."

"I don't want to hear any of your excuses. I want to know what you feel for me." she replied eagerly. "...and you better not lie." she added.

He could see desire in her eyes. It was the first time someone acted that way on him. He did not know how he would react, but he could feel an urge inside of him. "You're... You're also special to me." he said in a low and shy voice, then he looked down.

"Sit on the desk" she commanded.

He looked back at her. When he saw the serious look on her face, he tensely did what she said.

As he did so, she came closer to him. "Now, tell me what you mean about that... Does that mean... you also love me?" she asked, hoping.
