In their first afternoon class, Kith didn't show up. Erin was restless the whole time. When he also did not attend their second class, she decided to look for him during their short bathroom break.

She walked around the building and checked every vacant room, lab, stairway, and fire exit, but she couldn't find him anywhere. When their break time was over, she had no choice but to go back, but to her surprise, she saw him walking in the hallway going to their classroom.

"Kith!" she called.

He heard her. He stopped and turned his back.

Erin walked fast towards him. When she reached him, she grabbed his left wrist. Before she spoke, she composed herself and calmed her breathing. "Where have you been?"

He was standing still looking at her with his confused eyes. She noticed it.

"W-Why?" he asked in a bothered tone.

"Come on, let's talk inside." she told him. She pulled him into the doorway, but he refused. He pulled his hand back gently.

She lost her grip on his wrist. She turned her back and looked at him.

"You shouldn't do that. They will see you." he told her.

That time, she finally understood why he always rejects her. "So what?" She grabbed his hand and pulled him again.

Since she was holding him tightly, he was forced to go inside with her. He was very nervous and worried. He kept his head down too scared to see people glaring at him.

Erin noticed many of her classmates were really looking at them. Most of them seemed shocked, some were confused. She had no idea why they were getting their attention, but since she was more concerned with something else, she ignored them.

When Kith sat on his chair, she sat next to him. He still looked very agitated.

"I saw what my cousin did to you this morning. You missed two classes because of it. I want to say sorry... again, for what he did to you this time. I'll try to talk to him to stop pestering you." she told him in a sincere tone.

"You don't have to do that." he replied.

"Why are you always like that? I'm not going to hurt you." she said, sounding a bit upset.

He did not respond.

"Will you please look at me?" she requested.
